The food is delicious! My favorite seafood spot in Joliet. I recommend the Molcajete Cora or the Huachinango al Mojo de Ajo, it’s red snapper in a garlic mojo garlic sauce. Try a Pacifico beer with your meal!

OMG if I could eat here every day I would. The complimentary ceviche is AMAZING. I always get the Molecajate, it is the best thing I have ever eaten. Literally. It has crab legs, muscles, white fish, lagastinos, scallops, onion, orange all in a light adobo style sauce. I share it with someone else and usually get a side of rice which is equally as good. Go there NOW!!!

Tried the Piña rellena. It looked delicious, but I didn’t know there was octopus in it(pulpo), so that was kind of a disappointment. Otherwise, it seemed like an ok place.

Eh– save your money and go somewhere else. The food was ok– and that’s being generous… the service was lacking in many aspects, I had to get up and ask the waitress for a refill after about 15 – 20 minutes of NOBODY coming around and she kinda huffed and copped an attitude when I said I would wait for my drink(she said she would bring it to the table but I had already gotten up right). I mean the place had two tables to that were occupied and there were 3 servers and then the 2 cooks(they have a window to the kitchen), it shouldn’t have been that strained of an effort on their part. One person in our party ordered a margarita and she didn’t like it, so she sent it back and we expected to get it taken off our bill, it wasn’t. Then when we ordered, one of the plates was wrong(it was missing the shrimp) when I asked the server if maybe they had forgotten them she said I don’t know did they?- I said well look at it(she had just set it down…). We ordered the queso fundido which wasn’t melted all the way and they used mozzarella cheese. As we paid we noticed that the gratuity was included even though there were only five people in our party, when we asked they said it was their policy that it be added for parties of 4 or more, even though that was stated nowhere on the menu or any place by the register… I just wouldn’t go back.

i have to give this place 5 stars! The best sea food in Chicago. The only minus is the location. it is in an «ugly» area… but if your thing is to experience flavors and great food, then you should go there. My favorite is «langoustinos»(Shrimp), they are spicy and just out of this World! Their«cold Shrimp» cocktail is also super good. It is an «ethnic» Mexican restaurant, f you like cultural experiences, it is a must… you will definitely love the sea food.

4.5 Hidden in a strip mall along Collins St., next to La Villita Flower Shop. Inside has a very large seating capacity and the colorful painted wooden chairs and tables made me feel like I was somewhere warm. The lady here spoke English so not to worry if your knowledge of Spanish is non-existent. This is Mexican seafood fare so expect to pay $ 10+ for a meal but its worth it. I got the Pulpo Al Gusto(Octopus) for $ 13.95. Along with several cut up octopus tentacles, it came with a white rice, carrot, pea mixture, fries, piece of garlic bread, and a small side salad. And the octopus pieces were big and very meaty. I also enjoyed my Jamaica drink, which is a sweet hibiscus tea drink that is made at the restaurant. Only thing that bothered me was the loud juke box that was making it hard to maintain a conversation with my buddy. What a find! Especially in Jolet of all places!
