Firehouse Subs

Oh I will be back with the whole family. I love me a good sandwich shop. Just found another one.

I have drove past this place hundreds of times, and today I decided to give it a try. Wow their sandwiches are really good. So much better than subway or jimmy johns. Staff was friendly food was great. I am always a strong supporter of any place of business that supports our police and fire fighters. Only con I see here is the floors could be cleaner but besides that this place is great. I will come back!

This place blows subway and jimmy Johns out of the fucking water.
If there was one closer to me, Subway and jimmy Johns wouldn’t be an option anymore.
I ordered a footlong sub on a club (turkey, ham and bacon) chips, and a drink and my total was 13 bucks. If I got the same thing at subway it would be very close in price.
They also have a freestyle coke machine so you don’t have to go with the same boring choices that every subway offers.
Friendly people and a cool environment inside as well. Love the dalmatian style tables.

Average service, average food.
The meat tastes cheap.
Better than subway but I’ll stick to jersey Mikes or potbelly.

Cant believe I didnt walk in here sooner. The staff is always friendly and the food dominates all the other sub places around here. Club on a Sub is the way to go!!! …actually theyre all awesome.

Nothing special at all. They make Subway look good. Bread is like soft buns out of a bag. Soft and soggy. Ham was so sugary sweet, and could not even find the mayo on the bun. Grossly disappointing for my first time. Staff is why I gave 2 stars. They were friendly, but food gets 0 stars. For $ 10 price, was a waste. Could have bought a whole pack of soft buns and meat at Walmart across thr street.
Save your money and find a real sandwich shop. I feel sorry for firefighters if this is what they have to eat.

Just an average sandwich place. Sandwich was soggy and the chili was literally cold. I think I’ll stick too somewhere else.

The first time I tried this place I absolutely fell in love! I definitely suggest ordering the number 10, which is a beef & cheddar brisket. I usually order a medium sized sandwich & it leaves me pretty full. They have cold subs as well there, not just hot subs. The service is also nice which is always a plus.

Today was our first visit to Firehouse Subs. We were there around 1pm and were the only people there. We got a friendly greeting from the staff upon entering.
We asked for recommendations, and settled on the Hook and Ladder. My husband and I split the large size sandwich. They split it for us, and gave each of us a pickle.
The sandwich was quite good! The bread is tasty and nicely toasted. There was plenty of meat and cheese, with just enough lettuce and mayo. It was all nicely assembled; not just slapped together. Splitting the large was still more than enough food for each of us.
My only negative observation was the number of dirty tables in the dining room. We had to pass on the first three tables we checked.
Overall, we were both pleased with the food and the experience. Nice to have a decent place to go for a hot sandwich. We will go back.

I have been to this location several times in the last few months. This past Friday was the absolute LAST time.
My son, really likes the sandwiches here. However, their prices are absolutely ridiculous for what you get. He ordered two large turkey subs with extra meat. The total for the two sandwiches came to $ 30.00!!! My son only orders meat and mayo on his sandwiches, no extras. Plus, he orders it cold so, there isn’t any extra work involved (steaming, etc). Think about it; bread, sliced deli meat and mayo, for $ 30.00!!! You could go to a butcher and buy a really good steak for that! They charged $ 10.00 for extra meat! I cannot even wrap my head around this. How do you justify charging $ 10.00 for extra meat?
And if you try to give me the «but they help firefighters» nonsense, just stop. Patrons «donate» money to this company. The company then «donates» the money to the firefighters. They aren’t donating their own money! They are donating the money you fools give them and THEY get the tax break, not you! Nice scam.
So not only do they rob you with the astronomical prices here, they get a nice tax break for donating your money.
This place just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Wow, I got the large Italian. It has been four hours since I have eaten there, and I am still full. I can’t wait to try the tune sub Sammy. There are s few salads too. This place blows the socks off of Jersey Mike’s, Jimmy John’s, Subway, etc. They even have plastic fire people hats for the kids. Too cute.

I’ve been wanting to try for the longest. So the wait is now over, the customer service was nice, the food was awesome! My only thing was, when I went, I wasn’t aware your supposed to get a pickle. Needless to say I ordered five sandwiches and none of them had a pickle.
But that was nothing, I still returned the next day to get another sub.!! My family loves this place, and we got our pickle!!!

I placed an online order around 12:15 today for a 12:30 pick up. I was greeted when I walked in but the woman didn’t even look up. My food was ready which was nice. I got back to the office and ate it and I just felt like it’s nothing special. I’ve had it one other time (different location) and I remember thinking it was a lot better. The website was easy to use and you could add or remove items from your sandwich, which was nice. I don’t know that it will be my first lunch choice in the future but it was decent. Oh, also, there were pieces of roast beef all over the bread of my sandwich (I ordered turkey) so not sure what happened there but I didn’t like that. Also, my sandwich was SOAKED and falling apart. Yes, I asked for the vinegar on it but that doesn’t mean drench it.

Had it for the first time last month. The sandwiches are really good but it looks like they are bit understaffed. They New Yorker is really good, probably the best sandwich there in my opinion.

For taste, I give Firehouse subs the highest marks. It’s the best sub I’ve ever had. And If you’re gonna compare a Firehouse Sub, you compare it to every other sub ever made… that wasn’t made by Firehouse Subs. Speed at this location has been rather slow in the first month, but is getting a bit better now. Be prepared that it’s not going to be fast like Subway, but then this sub is not even comparable to subway. My favorite is the Italian. There’s a mix of spicy mustard and Italian dressing that is just wonderful. The meat is steamed and the lettuce is just right. The pickle is very to eat with the sandwich, but I often need an extra spear. Love it!
PS the brownie is nearly half the price of starbucks one and just as good for the choc fix in my opinion.

We came here for the first time last night. The manager, I’m assuming it was the manager, greeted us, gave our kids fire helmets, made suggestions to the menu, and overall was super helpful and nice. She was great with her customers and her staff.
The sandwiches were good and fresh, even my picky one ate all her food. I tried the turkey bacon and my husband had the philly cheese steak, both delicious. There were too many options so we will more than likely return to try other subs. My son loved the soda fountain too :)
Our overall experience was great! Will definitely be returning! Support your local heroes!

This is a great option for fresh, tasty fast food. Much better than Subway, for sure. The staff is very nice, the place is clean and the choices are unique. So glad to have one in the area.

Glad they opened near me. I was going tp the one in orland park when I was out near there. Good food. Different choices than ur avg sub joint. Went there today. Kids working there did a nice job. I ordered a Capt Sorensons & decided to mess w/​the kids asking about the Capt, wondering if they knew him and thought if he was a mean guy or nice. They were good sports about it.
Prices a bit higher than most places but worth it cause their food is better than most others. Do stop its worth it. Large selection of different sauces to add to your sandwich

Love love love this place.
I’ve been going to the Naperville location for a couple years and I was thrilled to see they opened this not even a mile from my house.
My son got the kids grilled cheese, no surprises there. He said it was delicious! They gave him a little rice Krispy treat with it and that made his day.
I got the Smokehouse Beef and Brisket. It came out perfect, not slopped on the tray, but a perfect little steaming sandwich. I will order this again and again.
They have a cool little array of hot sauces ranging from 1 – 10 mildest to hottest that you can add to your sandwich.
The staff is friendly and kind and the manager went around asking how we liked it.
I recommend this hot sub shop to everyone. It certainly beats out Anything else in the area!
