The Music Man Cafe

I want to first say this is my first Unilocal review. With that being said I want to take the time to say what a wonderful experience me and my family had on Sunday. It had been such a long time since we had gone out to breakfast because my husband normally works on Sundays so I am so glad we were able to try The Music Man Café because I had it tagged for a long time. When we walked in I was so nervous that we would have a long wait with three children in toe its not an easy thing on a Sunday morning after church, to my dismay we were seated right away and were welcomed by all the staff the that were working front of the house that morning. Our drinks that we ordered hot coffee (flavored by the way), hot cocoa, and some juice came out right away. We then placed our breakfast order and what seemed like no wait whatsoever had our breakfast sitting infront of us probably within 15 minutes or so. We were constantly checked up on and also the drinks were refilled without the need of asking! The food was delicious we all were happy. But, the wait staff was the best part, we felt important and cared for. It was so nice to see their waitstaff eagerly check in on their customers and have a warm smile on their faces. We will be back for sure!

Came here for breakfast after going by English Muffin up the street had a 45 min wait. There was no wait here. I liked the décor. The service was very prompt and we were brought water and coffee right away. The menu was hard to read on the red background. The food was good. The only thing I could say negative was my food was warm not hot. So not sure if it was sitting for a little but before it was served. My boyfriend had pancakes and they were huge. We would go back again if we were in the area.

I have no idea what their breakfasts are like, but the shrimp scampi wasn’t as good as Bertolli’s out of the bag… and their chicken wings, while not tasteless, were cooked to death. There’s not a chance in the world I’d go back.

One of the best breakfast places around. Very friendly and good good. They have very good dinners also. Also WiFi which a lot of smaller places don’t have.

Very nice new (ish) spot. Made reservations for Mother’s Day, so the place was packed, but the service was still excellent. Decent sized menu with pretty funny food descriptions. Ordered the Federal Hill eggs Benedict (Italian sausage instead of ham), and it was good. They burned the Italian toast underneath, but the eggs were poached perfectly and the hollandaise was AMAZING. Home fries were very respectable. My mom’s mimosa was kind of weak, but overall very good experience. Not mind blowing, but we’ll definitely be back!

Fabulous place!!! Al and his wife make you feel like your eating breakfast at there home. It’s great!!!

This was my second visit. Apparently they were short a cook today and did not bother to tell their patrons who were waiting an hour for breakfast to arrive or follow up with coffee or ask if we needed anything. Poor service, disappointed and would not return.

Exceptional food and service. The atmosphere is cheerful and cozy, we enjoyed listening to the bands on Friday and Saturday nights. We’ll definitely return and give this restaurant 5 stars!

Food was good. Service was terrible for many reasons. One being, we received our apps with our food.

I’ve been to the music man Café twice now. English muffin up the street was packed as usual with a 30 minute wait so we gave this place a second shot. Disappointed both times. Menu reads well but really poor execution by the cooks (won’t say chef). How can you mess up breakfast? Under cooked bacon that has a odd smell and an undercooked pancake for a kid. Hash which looked and tasted it was from the can. Place looks great inside, but appears like the passion for music far outweighs the passion for food. Too bad really, it good be a find if not for the lack of care for what they are serving.

Great atmosphere, reasonable prices, and large portions. Service was prompt and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place, and I will be back.

I’m really not sure how this place has a five star rating? Maybe it’s a local thing. First off it’s rude for the staff to constantly state at you like you have three heads. Second the menu had little to no explanation of what is in each dish. For example any of the Benedict dishes just have the name not the contents. Third service… getting a tables order by saying «so are you going to order something» is off putting. Clearly we came in to order food. If I want to have coffee and get strange looks ill go to Starbucks in Kennedy plaza and at least know what I’m ordering, get good service and the only strange looks will be from the hobos on the corner. The food it’s self was ok. Just ok. Nothing special. Nothing I would go out of my way for.

Fantastic food … The three most important woman in my life all had three different french toast (strawberry nutela french toast, stuffed cream cheese with strawberries and blueberries french toast and apple pecan french toast). They all absolutely loved them and the french toast looked so good it was ridiculous. I had a omlet and home fries it was pretty good but definitely a french toast place … For you coffee people «like myself «the coffee is really good and they have a list of speciality coffee which is pretty good as well the wife had biscotti coffee … Pretty amazing place, and only one of three places ever that I have given a five star too

Amazing breakfast!!! I had one of the omelette specials and it was delicious! There pancakes are extremely good as well!

Cute place and it feels homey. There food is tasteful and delicious. I found my new breakfast spot!

I took a trip here with my mother, and we enjoyed hot coffee over breakfast. The staff was very pleasant and the food was served hot, and fast. I ordered the special which was scrambled eggs and chili with a side of home-​fries. The home-​fries were great, I just wish the chili a little more flavor, I had to dump tons of hot sauce on it. Other than that I had an enjoyable time.

Great food, check the special board when you arrive. They also have a full bar! Always fresh coffee & they also have flavored ones on special, ask your server! The French toast is always on point, the pancakes are bigger than your head! I love the create your own omelet the ingredients are always fresh & try the wheat berry toast!

The Music Man Café is a delicious and super friendly/​attentive breakfast restaurant (and can’t wait to try their dinner too!). You can tell the owners and staff take great pride in their service and the food quality. Everything is fresh and flavorful.
The corn beef and hash is delicious. The wheat berry toast that comes with this dish is unique and tasty. The home fries have a sweet surprise of sweet potatoes mixed in.
The Mickey Mouse pancakes are really cute and went over well with the kids.
The oatmeal and fresh fruit were made well and make sure to ask for the 100% maple syrup to go with.
The hot tea and coffee were also well made.
The menu was very cute and comical. A little humor goes a long way to make the first impression more welcoming. The atmosphere was refreshing and cute. The service was fast and very friendly.
Overall, highly recommend Music Man Café!
