I was admiring how well my plants were growing today, and thought I better let everyone on Unilocal now as well. I do not have a green thumb… in fact I barely dug deep enough holes in the ground (and in some planters), sprinkled in some soil I got at Renes and plopped the plants in before giving them some water. Today you would think I was a professional gardener.
The plants had a few weeks of struggle with all of our rain but they look beautiful and I love how the greenhouses are set up to help you with your selection. There is also a small building that has a variety of pond items, which made me wonder how many ponds there must be in the Johnston and Grimes area.
This business is not a huge location, but they have a nice variety early in the season of plants and planters and bird baths. There is a big kitty that roams the grounds and may or may not let you pet her… depending on her mood that day. The owners are friendly and happy to help you with your selections too.
