Willow Springs Park is a dog-friendly park. There is a pay-use fenced area to let dogs run free, a longish and scenic walking trail, a volleyball court, vending machines, and some playground swings and slides for the rugrats and curtain climbers. There is a poopie bag dispenser. On nice days, especially on weekends, it’s usually pretty busy. It’s a very social park and not uncommon at all for folks just to walk up and chat you up, especially if you are with your 4-legged friend(s). It’s very well maintained by the city and the majority of the park is free. I think there are BBQ pits and for sure there are restrooms. There are a couple of gazebos and you can picnic anywhere and expect to have some space to yourself. Most of the trail area is paved although there are a couple of more«woodsy» trails too. Our dogs love this place! You don’t have to have a dog to enjoy it, but all parks are not as pet-friendly as WSP. Bring your own water dish and water. If you’re visiting or new-to-town, this is a cool local spot to check out. If you live here already, chances are you know about WSP.
