John’s Tree Service & Landscaping

Recently I heard the buzz of chain saws in my neighborhood and looked out at my neighbors yard to find a crew working on some trees. I strolled over to find that this was a crew from John’s Tree Service.
I had been wanting to have one of the trees in my back yard taken down, as it was quite dead and dangerous. I also had a rather large one in the front of my home that needed to be trimmed and shaped, as it was way overgrown. A couple of the guys came over to look at what I wanted done and assured me it would not be an issue. They called John right then and he and I agreed that he would stop over later that afternoon. Well he did, and he provided me with a quote that I thought was very fair and we agreed that he would do the work.
They showed up earlier than expected, did a fantastic job on both trees and cleaned up in no time flat. My biggest concern initially was that whoever would do the work would drop the trees and branches and simply leave them there for weeks or more. That was NOT the case with John’s crew. The whole job was done in two days and my yard was spotless. In fact they even reseeded my lawn where the trees had fallen and made some holes…
I was very impressed with their professionalism and would recommend them to anyone.

I cannot actually rate the business for landscaping or tree service, but I did have an experience with the business today that causes me to recommend people stay away from John’s Tree Service and Landscaping.
I was driving along Harry L Drive this afternoon and a large white pick-​up truck pulling a large trailer with the John’s Tree Service name all over it a almost ran me off the road. The truck was traveling at close to 50mph (in a 30 zone) and all over the road. The driver was using his cell phone while driving. I beeped my horn to alert the driver and try to get him to pay attention. He immediately slammed on the brakes forcing two vehicles onto the shoulder to avoid an accident. He then gave me the middle finger and laughed.
If this is how the treat people I would definitely stay away from them… I can only imagine the nightmare if a dispute arouse about a project they were doing for you. They obviously don’t obey basic traffic laws (speeding and texting while driving) so what makes you think they follow more complex laws? What happens if they get hurt while working on your property?
Bottom line… Do to this poor behavior of this business I will be telling everyone to stay away from this business. There are many other tree and landscaping businesses in the area that would treat you right and not put your life in danger.
