Guitar Center

I’ve always loved being able to go in and play with whatever my heart desires, but the reason this store is a 5 out of 5 for me is the sales manager (I think his name is Matt). On numerous occasions he has helped me out a lot and he just seems to love his job.

this place is ok. i know it’s better to support local guys but the selection at McNeil music is pretty weak and their customer service is horrible. i’ve actually had to go into the break room at mcneil before to get someone to ring me out! yeah, sometimes getting asked if you need help by a few different employees at guitar center can be annoying but at least they are there to help you if you need it. plenty of cool guitars there but the bass selection isn’t anything too special, which is kind of a bummer for me. i have a friend who plays left handed and he always leaves GC pretty disappointed. i’ve gotten some good used stuff from this store before as well as their website. i love how the used gear from every guitar center is listed on their website. the place has some good sales through out the year, but don’t expect to save big on something you really want because most retailers don’t participate in their 15% off sales. as for their repair service, i got an estimate from them before that was $ 70 more than the estimate i got from Binghamtone. if you’re looking for repairs definitely check out Binghamtone on the vestal parkway
