Colonel Steve’s Wine & Liquor Warehouse

We’ve been buying wine from Colonel Steve’s since our friends, who went to school with him, recommended them.
I just called to find what vintage Toasted Head Chardonnay they carry. The man who answered the phone abruptly said «it’s not on the bottle» & rudely hung up.
We may reconsider after this!

Here’s my best advice for patronizing this place: Just don’t. So rude. Every single time I’ve been in this place, the man behind the counter is cranky. Always. I’ve been here maybe five times in the last three years and the first couple times the rudeness was easy to dismiss as simply a bad day at work. No, they are always cranky and always rude. To everyone. It’s almost comical to watch. I was standing in line behind an older woman one of the last times I went. She told the guy «I can get this cheaper at so and so» His response? «Well, go get it there» and put the bottle back behind the counter and turned away. Uncomfortable situation. Very. They may be nicer if you are in there quite a bit but somehow I doubt it. There are other liquor stores within spitting distance of this place that do treat their customers a little better.
