Really great place for Italian food in Johnson City. I have had several company dinners here as well as dining by myself. Every meal starts with fresh bread served with olive oil poured at the table and topped with fresh herbs — this is a great way to start any Italian meal and I for sure was left asking for more. The service here is first rate — everyone from the host to the servers and bartenders know what good service is all about. They have a full and well priced wine menu if you would like a glass or bottle with dinner. Even though this is a chain the food truly is made fresh and has an authentic taste to it. They have a full menu with something for everyone from seafood, steaks, chops, pasta and wonderful salads and calamari. Many of the dishes are cooked in the wood fired oven you can see from much of the restaurant. My personal favorites are in the small plates appetizers. flat bread pizza’s which are oh so good if you don’t have the room for a full entrée after the bread and a calamari appetizer — and it won’t disappoint. For an entrée if you are a seafood lover I have had the Cioppino which has all the goodness of shrimp, bay scallops, clams and mussels plus more. a seafood lovers delight! Most everything here is good even though it is part of large chain there is care to the food and service and well worth a visit.

My wife really likes Carrabba’s. She could find something wrong with almost any restaurant. But not so with Carrabba’s. Enough said.

We arrived at 3:15, seated immediately with menus. No one came for 20 min. Not even a drink order. Had 3 waiters and bartender just walk by us. It was not crowded, in fact there were less than 10 people in restaurant. Left and went elsewhere. No excuse!

Excellent dinner tonight! I loved the soup they served and they gave it to me without noodles. I had the Tuscan Skewers cooked perfectly. My hubby had the pork and said«It’s so tender I could cut it with my fork». Our waitress was very fast and refilled drinks without us asking. The manager even stopped by to check on our meal. He brought some more cheese which won major brownie points with the hubs. I hope this becomes a regular dining spot for us!

I was unimpressed with Carrabba’s and can’t really see what all the hype is over. The lobster ravioli, which sounded really awesome, actually turned out to be sort of fishy and mathematically, the bite sized pieces worked out costing around two dollars apiece. I’d have been better off spending my money on black tar heroin and Monster energy drinks. My wife, who is allergic to meat, had the Cavatappi a Fromaggi. It arrived decorated with chicken. They claimed it could be quickly remade and in fact returned several minutes later with a «fresh» dish. She ate it anyway and still spent the evening with a belly ache. I tried it… and it tasted… ok. The bread was good. My tomato basil soup was pretty good. But, even Olive Garden gets that right. Next time we have the inclination to dine on corporate Italian chain food, it’ll be at an Olive Garden.

What a great meal. After watching a boring XFinity race. This place made our day. Starting out with tomato basil soup and calamari, both of which were amazing. We had chicken parm, a little dry but great flavor. Pork Chop Marsalla which was to die for. My wife had chicken alfredo and it was good too. I forgot to mention this was all complimented with a great caesar salad. Great service and a short 15 minute wait on a saturday night prom night.

Great food and good service every time I’ve been there. Wait staff gives recommendations on good that they enjoy and not just the highest priced item on the menu. Seating can be tricky sometimes but when was they offered appetizers and drinks in the waiting area.

Had a wicked craving for Italian food on New Years day, so we decided to check out Carrabba’s — and it couldn’t have been a better decision. I had the lobster mac’n’cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. Being a runner, I watch what I eat, and definitely wouldn’t have chosen this in any other situation, but I always think it’s ‘worth the calories’ when you can’t stop thinking about the meal, even days after you’ve consumed the last bit of leftovers. And honestly, Carrabba’s has done that for me. As first time guests, we even got free dessert. Oh my goodness, honey, I can’t speak highly enough of how magnificent that chocolate heaven dream thing was. The brownie was cooked perfectly, the whipped cream almost tasted home-made, and it absolutely melted in your mouth. Again, completely worth the calories. I’m pretty sure it’ll be my best meal of 2015, and I’m completely okay with it. 5 stars isn’t enough for this place. On top of the amazing food, the ambiance was perfect for both three friends(which is the group I was in,) and it would also be great for a date with someone special. The wait staff was attentive and kind, and the employees gave great descriptions of everything on the menu.(They even spoke highly about the work environment, a nice change of pace from what I usually hear.) If I ever find myself in Johnson City again, I definitely want to go back to this place. Even if it’s just for dessert. Or a meal. Whatever. I want to go back.

My family ate at the Carrabba’s in Pennsylvania several years ago and our daughter asked to eat at the closest one to our house now. We drove about an hour to Johnson City, TN and planned to eat lunch. We arrived around 12:30pm and was seated right away. Before we knew it AMANDA announced herself and said she would be serving us. She gave us the best service we’ve had in a long time! She wasn’t too pushy but just the right amount of service. The food… well…let me say it was the best meal each of us had had in years at a restaurant. I mean YEARS. The three of us came out talking about when we could come eat here again(and the bill wasn’t knock you down bad either!) and we couldn’t wait to go to as many sites and tell as many people just what good service AMANDA gave us!

While traveling down south, I was craving Carrabba’s and begged my sister-in-law if we could dine here the evening before returning home to Pittsburgh. Overall, I had a nice experience! Even though we came on a Saturday night around 6pm, the road conditions were very poor, thus a lot of people likely were staying warm at home, so we were seated immediately! Our waitress was a very sweet, very Southern girl who was as accommodating as possible. For me, the food delivered! The bread with dipping oil was delicious as always, and my house salad was tasty. My meal — Veal Marsala with Fettuccine Alfredo — was fabulous and exactly what I was craving. This meal is one of my comfort foods! I was disappointed to get to dinner feeling completely stuffed, because I could have definitely gone for dessert.

Exceptional food and service. I have dined at many of their restaurants in Naples, FL as well as South Miami, Fl and I must say, that for a chain restaurant, they are very very good no matter where you are. Great happy hour in Miami too. The only thing that I would like is to be able to call for reservations.

It’s easy to get lost looking for this restaurant; there’s a market place st in downtown and there is a market place blvd off of State of Franklin Highway. Carrubba’s is off State of Franklin, not downtown. With that out of the way, I compliment Matt on his prompt, honest and attentive service. I had one of their popular pasta dishes with lentil soup to start and I was very pleased with both dishes. I would return here again even though I’m not much of chain restaurant person when on travel.

Really good Italian food– I think it is a step up from Carino’s or Olive Garden. Same sort of menu for the most part. I had Bryan’s chicken– grilled chicken breast w. sundried tomato & goat cheese– I already want another. More intimate environment compared to its competitors, but still family appropriate.

I have always gotten wonderful food and service here. I enjoy the varied menu and have never chosen a dish that wasn’t delish! Only down side is the cost. I wish I could afford to go here even more!

I have been to this location twice. It has been wonderful both times. The food is exceptional as well as the service. Everything is prepared fresh and I love the wood burning grill.

For a chain, I really like this place. It is a bit on the pricey side but the food is well worth it.

Simply superb! Great food and excellent service. Unlike most Carrabba’s locations, this one doesn’t usually have a long wait. Recommended appetizer: fried mozzarella(real, fresh mozzarella with the most delicious breading you’ve ever had). Recommended entrée: trout wulfe style(very lightly breaded, with avocado and red peppers in a lemon butter cream sauce). For dessert, don’t miss the«chocolate dream» — it’s too big not to share, but you won’t want to!

I had a vegetarian pizza with no cheese and it was excellent. Good crust, great toppings, and a decent pizza sauce. Also, almost everyone I know likes the place.
