Best pizza place OTP. Joe has another place in Roswell called Joes NY Pizza, also excellent. Great service, good quality ingredients and always consistently great! Check out both places!

How many times have I come here and they’re out of the beer I order. Not only the one I order, but the first three I order. Whoever is stocking this place should be fired. This is no way to run a business! Maybe it’s just a hobby for the owner. We love the pizza, but HEYOWNER, it’s the whole experience! I’ll find another pizza restuant, that stocks l the beer they claim on their menu.

Being from NY it’s hard to come close to NY pizza. They have done it!!! The pizza was awesome thin crust cooked just right, amazing. The eggplant parm side dish, was a main course. The food is great and the prices are fantastic!!!

I come here occasionally and will come more often after this last visit. I had dinner with two friends I had not seen Ina long time. The server was very accommodating and the atmosphere was perfect. I usually don’t eat much starch but had the spicy sausage roll and it was awesome. Saved some for lunch the next day and it was awesome again. This is a gem of a restaurant!

Okay, so you have to get certain items for this to bring in the five star rating. The meatball sub is number one. Second is the white pizza. Third is the Stromboli. There are other good items here but there are my three. Yours could easily differ from mine but one of these will probably be your favorite. Service is usually exceptional.

Haven’t been there for sometime and was disappointed. The pizza was much different than before– not good. Won’t return anytime soon.

Food is mediocre, $$/4 pricewise, service underwhelming, décor not memorable We’ve driven by here many a times and wanted to try a different Italian pizza place than our usual. How disappointing this place made us feel like there’s no real good Italian pizza restaurant in our area out of the constant new outcrop of Italian restaurants. We know Italian food and this was a very poor facsimile. Firstly service was terrible, waited long time to be seated even though there was only one other family there, waited a long time for menus and waited even longer to order, waitstaff literally dropped our drinks on the table and then we waited long time for our food and she didn’t come back until she dropped the check off. They either need to train their staff better or not hire high school/college kids. Secondly, the pizza was tasteless and very greasy. We soaked up as much of the grease with napkins before we ate it. Our little pizza barometer– the kids didn’t even like it and when we took home most of the pizza it sat in the fridge several days which is amazing. Usually it’s gone by the next day — cold pizza breakfast and lunch. The pastas that we ordered was not worth the price. Anemic pasta smothered in mostly sauce. We were surprised that there was only a handful of ravioli and we fished around in the sauce for more. We were incredulous that there was none and honestly felt ripped off for the price we paid for that dish and the very mediocre quality of the food. Disappointing and forgettable. Would NOT recommend and will NOT be going back. I’m finding generally people + contractors+businesses in this area really don’t know what service means. It’s a way of thinking and a culture. In other parts of the world you’ll see the prevailing attitude is that it is a genuine pleasure and honour to serve you because of all the places(competition is fierce) you choose to patronize you chose our establishment so thank you. We want you to have a good experience so you’ll continue to come back and we want you to remember us/our brand positively so you can recommend us in the future. It really is the little things that make for an extraordinary experience. Here they equate service to something they begrudging need to do sort of like kowtowing to the customer. They don’t provide service but rather I get the feeling that customer service here is viewed as how do I manage this account/customer so they are the least hassle to me. It should come from a place of mutual respect. That’s not to say I haven’t seen customers berating and abusing staff which is also not a good thing. Doesn’t mean always giving in to the customer but it also doesn’t mean having an antagonistic demeanor to the customer as well. My 2cents rant of the month!

Visited because of the reviews and was so disappointed. The pizza was tasteless. Friend ordered the Chicken Parm dinner, it was a frozen, pressed patty with absolutely no flavor at all. Only good part of the meal were the rolls. They have an open aired kitchen and I was able to watch pizza maker talking on cell phone while tossing pizza! Will not return.

I love this restaurant! The pizza reminds me of the the pizzas in NY. Very good customer service. Food is always fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We ordered take out from here on one of those weeknights we were just not about cooking. Meatballs and a lasagna(have yet to try their pizza). Meatballs were excellent and the lasagna was simply good. I think it possibly needed more ricotta and less salt. Nothing that screams GTF in my belly but we liked it, we recommend it, and I will try this place again.

The food is delicious here. We wish they would renovate the dining room, but other than that you will enjoy delicious food at reasonable prices.

Out-of town, had the roasted chicken & garlic pasta. Was absolutely amazing! Returned the next night for the same meal. My picky kids loved it too!

I had pasta, salad and cheese bread. It wasn’t terrible but it was very clear that they use some of the cheapest forms of ingredients that could be found. It was kind of like the McDonald’s of pizza joints. I haven’t had their pizza but if they use the same cheese on it as they did on the cheesy bread I’m sure I wouldn’t enjoy it either. Also I’m pretty sure they use Prego sauce and cook their pasta in warm water for 45 mins. If you’re looking for fresh Italian taste don’t bother coming here.

We made a drive out to this spot when it was recommended by a food blogger that I enjoy following. It was crowded, but not packed on a Friday night. It was very kid-friendly — lots of well behaved children and families enjoying their pizza. The restaurant had a curved bar, where you could sit and watch your pie being crafted, as well as large tables to accommodate big pizzas without the table getting crowded(but also made me feel like I was sitting a bit far away from my family). Service was excellent — cheerful, attentive, with good suggestions. We started with pizza knots, which arrived quickly, covered in butter and parmesan. My husband tried the San Gennaro pizza, and I tried the eggplant parmesan baked hero. Our toddler had penne pasta with butter. Our food was good — the pizza was probably the best dish of the night. The portions were very large — we took half our meal home. In fact, I just enjoyed some pizza for breakfast!

We walked in and there was no one at the door to guide us on our next move. Do we stand in line at the counter and order? Do we seat ourselves? Do we wait to be seated? Who knows, not me. So I asked a server who was walking by «Do we order here and then sit down, or do we sit down first and then order?» This seemed to confuse him, he looked like he was still in high school, so I asked a slightly different question hoping he could understand our dilemma… «Do we seat ourselves or does someone like you take us to our seats?» «Someone takes you» he said«But there are no open tables». I was looking right at an empty booth and said«Can we have that booth?» and he said«We like to save the booths for larger parties.» Ok, kind of annoying but it was a 6 person booth and we only had two in our party. So the waiter sat us at the bar. We sat there for a few minutes with no menus or place settings, and what looked like a few of high school kids hustling back and forth trying to keep up with the traffic. There were no true adults around at all, this place on a busy Saturday night was run by a few kids. Finally someone asked us what we wanted to drink and we still didn’t have menus. Eventually we got menus and ordered, the food was better than the staff. I didn’t love the pizza, it was lacking in cheese. But the salad and calzone were loaded with cheese. If I had any advice for this place it would be to hire some adults, they have more than enough patrons to support it. The place was busy all night. Also, put some more cheese on your pizzas! C’mon, you aren’t holding back in your calzone, man up and give me some more pizza cheese. 3 stars because the food was not bad, but almost 2 stars based on the service.

From the spaghetti and meatballs to the sausage roll/stromboli their food is good, the service can be hit or miss but overall it’s a place we’d tell friends about. it’s local to us which makes it somewhere we make a go to. Weekend tend to be quite busy, during the week is typically good. We noticed they do trivia on Wed nights so we’ve not went went on that night. DOWNSIDE = pretty large down side if you are a mom with a smaller child. There is NO changing table. The sink is tiny as well. So I was forced to go to the car and change our child, mind you its 25 degrees out side so changing not only a diaper but a whole outfit out in the cold was highly frustrating.(Not to mention when I went to use the restroom myself one stall lock was broken and unusable the other barely making it.) I would just think for such a seemingly family restaurant they would these things and correct anything that needed to be fixed. Bummer to me.

By now, you probably already know the pizzas are great. It’s New York style so think chewy and crispy. Pretty darn good. I would say that one thing you should try is the Caprese salad. Uncommonly, they put capers with theirs which gives it a nice touch. Their menu is extensive with a good number of options for pasta. Must definitely go back and try that.

A few years ago, when I worked in Duluth, my co-workers and I would drive over to Verra-Zanno for lunch on special occasions. I was in the area last week and decided to stop in with my little sis for dinner and see if it was as good as I remembered. We started with salads, a Caesar for her and a Greek for me. I thought my salad was excellent, with generous servings of all the bits that make Greek salad delightful: olives, feta, pepperonicinis, and croutons. The dressing was terrific, and they weren’t too heavy-handed with it. I followed the salad with a plate of eggplant parmesan(because I can’t resist eggplant dishes), which was just perfect and came with a small side of spaghetti and red sauce. She had two slices of cheese pizza, which were enormous and looked great. The serving of my eggplant parm was just exactly what you want eggplant parm to be: not greasy, cheesy but not too cheesy, and a nice balance of herbs to round it out. After the big salad, I had plenty of eggplant to take home, too, making a very generous lunch the next day. My sis said her pizza was just right, with a nice chewy crust that was substantial enough to support the cheese, but not too thick. All in all, a solid meal. I wouldn’t necessarily drive all the way to Duluth for it, but if you’re in the neighborhood and want some traditional red-sauce-Italian or pizza, do stop in. The service was also terrific: despite the fact that the two of us stayed in a booth for two hours, our service stayed attentive and kept our glasses filled.
