As always the food is great, and the service is outstanding. Another great meal in my belly.

We were traveling home to Cartersville from Jekyll island and needed to eat supper. I ask Siri about a place to eat and it pulled up Hungry Hillbilly BBQ It was definitely off the beaten path maybe 2 – 4 miles but it was well worth it. The décor was great and it was probably the cleanest place you could ever eat. My husband got ribs And when they brought them out it was 3 and he was thinking 3 ribs is all they gave me but when he finished, He was so full he said he couldn’t have eaten another bite. I had pulled pork and sweet potato fries with slaw. It was all very good. The workers and owners were very nice and friendly We would definitely go back again !!

I’ve had better BBQ, but throw in the décor, cleanliness, waiters, the whole package deal will be hard to beat. From the road signs and off the beaten path location, I didn’t expect much. I was more than surprised. Did see one fly buzzing around our table. An interesting note, Jesup, Georgia is about as flat terrain as you can find in Georgia. No hills to speak of and far from normal «Hillbilly» habitats. I guess it sounds better than Redneck BBQ.

Awesome service and the meats are second to none! The décor is rustic with a cabin feel hence the name hillbillys! The service was prompt and the waitresses are always very sweet and keep the glasses full! I’ve also had the red velvet cake and the pound cake is to die for! Over all I give this place A+ very clean, awesome service, and awesome food!

Went to this place with my husband after reading some reviews on here. It was kind of far out of the way but not too bad. The atmosphere was pretty cool and really fun décor inside. Also little gift shop in the front. FYI they only take cash or check, and no ATM there so I had to dust off the old check book. We had a bit of a wait but their food was awesome. Appetizers. just pass on those their nothing to brag about and the side items aren’t terrible but nothing too stand out. However the meat was awesome! I got the ribs with sweet sauce and my husband got the brisket. Probably best BBQ I’ve ever had around here. But a little bit on the pricey side. Our bill was 50 bucks for 2. But otherwise the atmosphere and meat were on point.

I came here today after reading other Unilocal reviews for this place and I am still siting at a table by the little pond, and I just witnessed the hostess named Linda (who I assume by the way she has acted the entire time is the owner/​manager) follow a couple outside right by the front door and ask them to give a bad review to another restaurant here in town on Trip Advisor!!! Oh my gosh, I can’t believe what I just heard! She even repeated really loudly «TRIP ADVISOR. COM!» I was ready to give this place a great review with awesome pictures and everything. NOT ANYMORE! How evil!

½ smoked chicken, mac and cheese, green beans, Texas toast… and of course their cake of the week, red velvet…

Awesome folks, awesome cookin!

Took a group of 10 friends we made a reservation, here are the comment our group had, best baked sweet potato I have had in a long time done just right and not stringy, «if I knew the ribs would have been this good I would not have order the combo» «pulled pork was really moist» «I give it 5 stars». Not one person in our group was disappointed in any way. Service was great. It is in the middle of know where so make sure you use your GPS. They make their own sauces all good I liked the onion sauce the best. If you like HOT sauce this may not be the best place for you. Has a little bite but not hot. I had the BBQ beans they were great too. Just one negative comment BRING CASH or check they do not take credit cards.
