Awesome is just an adjective of how I define their work. The price range is also amazing. I mean if you have to get your eyebrows, upper lips and your waxing done, it usually costs 100 – 150 bucks in city but here you will pay just 70 and your work is done. As I have recently moved from Bay Area, trust me I know the pain of searching for a perfect salon where you can tell them once how you want your eyebrows to be and they remember it till you are their customer

How I’ve missed this place! I moved to Chicago three years ago and have struggled to find a place that can do my eyebrows the way these ladies do.
I returned to NJ this weekend to visit friends and decided to go to Jersey City to see if they were still there. They immediately recognized me and asked where I had been. Within minutes my eyebrows were restored to my previous look and I was out the door.

Worst place ever. Got waxing and threading done. She completely spoiled the eyebrows. The eyebrows didn’t match and the way she did them hurt so much. She applied so pressure and was trying to quickly get over with them that my skin got caught. For waxing she tried to get most done in just one patch and that would pull the skin so badly that I Had rashes and blood clots on all over skin areas. Although their rates are low but I feel they are still expensive for the kind of service they provide.

OMG it pains a lot… Its not like i am doing eyebrows for first time… It hurt so much… Lady who did my eyebrow was not in mood to listen and she did the job as if she was cutting grass…
i was not happy. i asked her to clean here and there. which she did unwillingly.
I never had tears before doing eyebrows but here i had tears rolling out… People are saying that it is cheap… a salon opposite to this one charge $ 4. another just few steps away from it charges $ 5.
I wont be back because it pained so much and unwelcoming lady…

Very bad parlour. Somehow they do threading or eyebrows in this way that the growth of hair has become fast n therefore u need to come again n again… Terrible it is. pl donot ever go…

The lady did a good job, both my eyebrows match. She actually listened to me (even though it looks like she does not). 5 dollars to therad your eyebrows and 2 dollars for uppler lip; I’ll be back. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that it really hurts, I have had my eyebrows threaded before without this much pain, might just be the way she threads. Also no clean up or lotion after threading, for 5 bucks I guess I should not expect anything more that well shaped eyebrows.

I have to take one star away because I was last here a month ago and my usual «brow-​tician» messed up my eyebrows. I came in with two eyebrows and left with one and a half. She said it was because I didn’t have much hair. I don’t believe that.
She usually does my eyebrows quick. I’m sure if she took her time, I would have had two perfectly shaped eyebrows.

I’m gonna join hands with Lovet O. today and vouch for Shrigar Beauty Salon. I don’t know about you… but I don’t care much about smells/​sights or anything along those lines if I get a good deal… money wise and quality wise.
I got my eyebrows, face waxed/​threaded for 10 – 15 bucks… all done perfectly well… both my eyebrows matched and were done exactly as asked. Well, I have paid exorbitant amounts. sometimes even north of 40 bucks to get this done… but never to this effect…
As impressed as I was, I even got my face cleaned up… to get the multitude of black heads removed for as little as 20 bucks… who is complaining? It’s a tedious job and the lady does it for u without whining or complaining about her job…
I wud rather save a few bucks than go to a Manhattan based spa. and rather get myself somethin nice!

I will never be returning again to Shringar’s — it smells awful in here, the service is bad and they didn’t even do a good job. I was really hopeful that the $ 5-​eyebrow threading would actually yield good results per fellow Unilocaler Lovet O. (below), but my experience was the exact opposite.
I used to have a nice little arch in my eyebrows that accentuated my face and the salon lady just rounded everything out when I asked her to just «clean up» the eyebrows. UGH. It hurt pretty bad (and it normally doesn’t hurt for me b/​c I have a high pain tolerance), their threads are insanely rough & she even pulled out a few pieces of my head hair! Other salons I have been to would smooth my head-​hair away, but no, she just went ahead and threaded them out of my head. What a FAIL. I’m not exaggerating ladies … so unless you got more than enough to spare on your hair, AVOID this salon.
