I can recommend Ray for any furniture repair or refinishing requirement you may have. My experience with him was one of the very best customer experiences I’ve had. He responded very quickly via email with meaningful feedback on the pieces of furniture I had questions on. He displayed his knowledge in a way that gave me the confidence to move forward with him for the job; for example, he correctly identified the type of wood we had just by a small photo that I attached to my email. I had incorrectly thought it was a different type of wood. He picked up and dropped off my furniture for a small fee and most importantly did the most amazing restoration work I have ever seen. He really took care with my pieces, and restored them in a way that was sympathetic to the type of piece. For example, per my request, he did not completely strip away all of the underlying patina from a table per my request, but rather cleaned it, made it more structurally sound, and gave it a hand polish to highlight the age and patina of the piece. He could have just stripped it and made it brand new, but this wasn’t what I wanted. Ray really takes the time to listen to his customers and then delivers 100% on what the vision is.
