Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Seriously, who doesn’t love Popeye’s??? This location is very clean, well lit, with fast service. Plus unlimited soda.
Glad to see the very ghetto Pathmark shopping plaza starting to upgrade their tenants.

«Love that chicken from Popeyes!» I go here all the time… I forget to check in though. Spicy is nicey! (Not a real word…) but I like this place and I was so happy when they opened it up at this location! So much closer that the one by the tunnel and not left with just those other two chicken places by my house. Great food great prices! I met one of the owners one time and she was really nice and you can tell she takes pride in this place cuz it’s kept clean and and the customer service is top notch there. If I could have a discounted meal pass for them, I’d eat there every other day! :-p You can’t go wrong here. I will say, when they did their soft opening, they were still working out the bugs of how much to prep and what order to set up your meals in. But they’ve come a long way since last year and definitely my choice of chicken!

Come on, it’s Popeyes — if you’re a hater, you’re just a hater. I love my Popeyes and I’m not ashamed to admit it!
We got a 8pc family meal and carried it home and devoured it with my husband. Yum yum ;)
So the food was fresh, as in clearly just cooked and not sitting around for awhile. The staff was super nice and the décor was the best I’ve ever seen in a Popeyes in JC or any suburb. Plan on coming back soon for my cheat meal :)
So the shopping center is, how can I say this, a little sketch. It’s safer than it looks but I won’t be going by after sunset.

It’s good for what it is. Ya gots the munchies, you go here. And while here, you better go Cajun spicy or go home. Sides are pretty good too — such as corn (actually on the cob) & slaw done right (not dry or gooey mess) to name a few.
In spite surrounding area (think New Jack City), the restaurant is neat, very clean & kinda homey (for a chain restaurant). A lot of families seem to dine here (maybe due to the hospital next door). Suffice to say, this Popeyes blows away all the KFCs in JC.

I am so happy Popeyes finally opened closer to home! I know there’s one near A&P but that is too far when I’m craving fried chicken. This little plaza where Popeyes is located has some ghettoness to it but the recent addition of Popeyes adds flare and modernism in this old ratchet part of DTJC.
This Popeyes is well lit, clean, and customer service is great. I personally love the Fried Chicken spicy with mashed potatoes. The food is the same in most Popeyes I’ve been to and it’s always delicious. It’s my favorite Fried Chicken fast food chains. What makes this Popeyes different is the cool soda machine that can gives a variety of different choices and its Free Refills!
I suggest coming here for lunch and dinner to enjoy a tasty meal for a great price!

In what used to be dead space in the Old Colony shopping center, a little ray of sunshine has opened up– Popeyes Louisiana fried chicken. Now, this is not sophisticated food by any means, but if you are hungry, this place is aimed to please.
Upon entering, the space is large, clean, and bright. For the area, the employees are surprisingly nice and happy! My husband and I each got the 3 chicken tender meal. It comes with a drink, a biscuit, and your choice of side. I chose cole slaw and he chose Cajun seasoned fries.
Unlike the McDonald’s located in this plaza– Popeyes has an awesome soda machine with FREE refills. Popeyes also happily will give you extra sauces is you ask (mcdonalds charges you 30 cents a pack for extra BBQ).
The chicken came out hot and delicious. It has a nice breading with crisp texture and juicy chicken inside. The biscuit that came with the meal was heavenly. It was warm, soft, and buttery.
The entire meal came to around $ 14.
My husband and I both asked each other «how have we not been here before?»
This place exceeded my fast food expectations, we will definitely be back soon.
