Mark and his staff are lifesavers. I am new to the Hoboken area and have not needed a mechanic yet around here, until today. I called them first thing in the morning when my car wouldn’t start and Mark made what would be a frustrating process, easy. He got a tow truck company for me and personally called and got me the lowest prices on the parts I needed. Not only that but Mark made sure that my car was fixed in one day, despite that it required alot of work! Excellent service and very reasonable prices, I will definitely be back. If you need your vehicle serviced by a professional but want a fair price, then go check out Mark at Pica’s!!! Guy was easy to do business with and more than fair. Small business owners who do it the right way like Mark deserve our business.
I came in with the truck that was serviced three times by a AAA tech and would not start. Mark listened to the Tech’s reading that I had with me and got the problem resolved for a very fair cost.
You could just tell he was a stand up guy.

Pica’s Automotive Service Center has serviced my car for over two years and I have been very happy with the work completed (including: timing belt, water pump and new clutch). Unlike other mechanics and dealerships in Jersey City I’ve experienced, the owner Mark will work with you on a personal level. Mark is honest and will come up with a cost effective solution to repair your vehicle while ensuring a high quality of workmanship.

After mechanic hopping for a while in Jersey City, it has been so great to find someone as reliable as Mark Pica. We’ve brought our car in several times now, and the service at Pica’s is always thorough, efficient, and of the highest quality. I feel like my car is in the absolute best of hands. I appreciate the detailed explanations and answers to my questions, and the extremely fair prices.

Pica does quality work. I brought my car here a few months back and they did a great job. I’m not sure about the number listed above, but I always call (201)798−9997, and ask for Mark. I think he’s the owner. They’re really honest people. Earlier this year, I brought my car to Pep Boys for an oil change and tire rotation. They called me to say I needed to replace a bunch of sh*t that I didn’t understand. They also gave me a very expensive quote to cover the repairs. I took this diagnosis to Pica, and they quoted me significantly less than Pep Boys. They ordered the parts and had the car fixed up by the end of that week. The only reason that I gave them 4 stars instead of 5, is because the repairs seem to take nearly a week, instead of just a day. That being said, if you don’t need your car for a few days, this place will treat you right.

I would give no stars if I could. Mark, the owner of Pica’s, told me I needed a new starter when my car wouldn’t start. I agreed to have him replace the starter and was charged almost $ 400. A few hours after picking up my car, it wouldn’t start again. I called Mark and explained in a message that I was still having trouble starting my car. He never bothered to answer my call. I took it to another mechanic who fixed the problem by simply replacing my batter. Don’t be fooled by the AAA approval! Avoid at all costs
