Miss Wong’s

This place was pretty cool. They serve good drinks and had a good atmosphere. They only allow so many people in at a time, so it didn’t get too crazy or hard to order a drink.

Like that its hidden downstairs. The space is very very limited. So limited that on a busy night (40 people) the group i was with kept getting bothered by this little slender white guy who at first I thought was trying to make his way to the bar only to find out that he was a «bouncer». We weren’t even blocking the bar but he insisted we disperse and make room. He had to have at least bothered us 4 or 5 times throughout the night while no other bouncer ever even looked at us and the one at the door upstairs was quite exceptional. The management has to let this guy go, why would I and group of 12 friends who came here to spend money and have a good time come again when we keep getting bother by some guy with a napoleon complex and a need to overcompensate by being a douche bag. I rather spend my money elsewhere where at least I know its going to pay the salary of a competent employee. Other than the tool bag everything else was okay.

Was really good the first couple times I went but recently went on Saturday night and was a bit disappointed. ordered 4 drinks 1 old fashioned which was subpar to the prior times I’ve been there And 3 vodka sodas with a splash of cranberry juice. Was shocked for a place to try and deem itself as a speak easy and have high quality drinks when they were served in cheap plastic cups and filled over the top with ice. Was also shocked my bill was 55 dollars plus tip. Hopefully this was an off week as I do enjoy the aesthetics and scene there but if your going out for good cocktails I would just stay upstairs.

This little speakeasy bar/​lounge is a welcome addition to Jersey City. Drinks are fantastic, but the only downside is that the DJ’s can be hit or miss. I’ve been here on several occasions where the entire crowd was vibing on the music, but some nights where it was a mixed bag.
The only downside of Miss Wong’s is that I wish there was more room to maneuver around the bar or if there was an additional bar in the space. Other than that, the bartenders are awesome and so are the drinks. No complaint there.
If you find yourself looking to let loose a little bit in downtown JC, I recommend finding your way to Miss Wongs.

Everything about this place is 5 stars except for the DJ. I came on a Friday night when DJ Dyce was playing and he was no good — too much random house/​pop music that no one was feeling.
The drinks are great, bartenders are busy but great and atmosphere is exactly what JC needs. Just get rid of DJ Dyce

Came to this hidden spot with a few gals and guys shortly before 10pm on a Friday. Initially was wide-​open empty spaces with a few couches along the perimeter, but pretty soon it was packed! Age ranges are from 20s-​40s with a good number of attractive women. A great plus is that even though it’s an underground place, it’s not stuffy due to good ventilation.
Dana (if you see this message), a sip of your red drink was all I needed to order a great cocktail!
All specialty drinks are finely crafted by the bartenders, but do expect to wait awhile as the one bar gets crazy packed!
Drinks, dancing with a dj, and an air of exclusivity. Check this spot out.

To continue my love for Jersey City, this spot stole my heart. Celebrated my birthday here, no hassle, all fun. Good music, chill people. Only reason I’m skimping out on a fifth star, is bc mayyybbbbeee one extra bar would help ;)

DJ is on point, vibe is casual, and the drinks were great. The first drink made was super sour but the bartender made a new drink for us (free of charge). That deserves five stars! Very impressed and highly recommend to check out.
