Locksmith JC

Called Locksmith JC due to an emergency with a lost car key. During the call I asked for a price estimate for everything in total and was told up to $ 300, maximum. On their website they also mention a service fee of $ 19. Before I got off the phone they told me they will send a guy and that it would take half an hour for him to get there. After almost an hour of no one showing up, we get a call from the guy coming telling us he’ll be there in about 20 – 40 minutes. He doesn’t get there until about an hour. The locksmith works on the key for almost three hours and tells us later on that he wasn’t able to make a key and that we have a choice to either pay $ 50 for the service fee or wait for another guy that has the machine needed to make the key. After him saying that, I started to get a little skeptical about their business. We had no choice but to stay since we we already there the whole day and damn well wasn’t going to pay $ 50 for nothing. He tells us the guy will arrive in 50 minutes, and of course doesn’t arrive until about an hour in a half. The guy finally arrives in a non-​commercial, beat up van. He tells us the price will be $ 275 PLUS $ 75 for the key!!! Throughout the process of making the key we hear him cursing to himself getting aggravated. At this point we are worried about him damaging the car. After two hours or so he tells us he isn’t able to make a key and get a code for the car, and to call back on Monday (it was a Saturday) and he will be able to get a code by then.
Overall this was a terrible experience and waste of time. They are unprofessional, have awful timing, are not on the friendly side, and will have you questioning their locksmith business.

Locksmith JC was there when I needed them the most– locked out of my car and they showed up within the guaranteed 15 minutes. Thanks guys!

i was lockout out of my house last week before moving while waiting for my movers and these guys came within less then 20 min to help me out… guy was super nice and helpful and professional. seems like he knew what he was doing and got me in very quick without any damage to the lock… thank you there at JC Locksmith… ;)
