Jon’s Dry Cleaners

I had taken my red Canada Goose Coat to be cleaned at this dry cleaner. When i went back to collect it i found dirt stains several places on my coat, I then demanded to be cleaned properly since I paid 40 bucks for it. They agreed and told me to come back 3 days later. So yesterday I went to pick it up and I noticed my coat hanging in the back room and didn’t have the plastic cover on it. Weird I thought… They gave me my coat I looked at it and the first thing I saw was my new 800 dollar coat had white spots like the red color of the coat were scrubbed off. The owner the Korean woman come out and told me «well when we removed the dirt from the coat the color faded» and that it’s not her fault. She said the dirt must have cause the white spots or that it might even been there when I brought it. After a long argument I decided to leave and take my coat with me. She was not even sorry for what she did and tried to blame it on me and refused to give my refund. I bought this coat last year and this was it first wash. They used harsh chemicals that destroyed it. They have no experience of cleaning Canada Goose coats or even any other expensive brand. She should have told me that in the first place. I paid 40 bucks and my coat is destroyed. I decided to file a law suit against her I will not let her get away with it. She will have to take responsibilities for what she did to my coat.
Please DO NOT take any single piece of clothing you value to this place. They are horrible. They are unprofessional and will rip you off. They will destroy your cloths and will not even care. They have no experience with dry cleaning. I am looking forward to see her in the court house. Pls take my advice and stay away from this place.

I only need fairly ordinary dry cleaning but I’ve used them about 10 times with no problems. I’m more impressed than the other dry cleaner in the neighborhood I used before. The owner was careful to show me one time that one shirt had signs of wear before laundering it. So far, so good!

I am completely done with them!
In my first review, I gave them 4 stars, because I had gotten good service and it is super convenient, as they pickup and deliver. I probably was blinded by convenience, because as I look back, I probably should have objectively given them 3 stars, due them being really expensive.
In the times since, my experience has plummeted! It all started when my fiancé brought in 2 sweaters for them to clean. They hung them on wire hangers. If you have ever seen a sweater after being hung on a wire hanger, the shoulders are stretched to the point of comedy. When we brought it in to show them, they steamed and ironed them until they looked better, but we asked them NOT TO DO THAT AGAIN! Guess what happened next time. Sweaters on wire hangers. When we pointed out that we already asked them not do that, she replied «but you didn’t remind us this specific time.» I thought NEVER was a pretty clear reminder. How can you be a professional cleaner if you don’t know that sweaters should be folded, not hung on wire hangers.
The final straw was the last sweater and dress that we brought in, they never cleaned. They returned them with all of the stains exactly as they were, just wrapped in plastic. You could argue that they just missed them, but there are two problems. First, they even missed the stains that my fiancé had marked with tape. Second, when I brought them to my new cleaners, he said «those stains are so obvious no one should ever miss them!»
If you are going to charge TriBeCa prices, you had better do a good job, Jon’s does NOT!
One more thing, when we told the owner about the problems, she asked us if we wanted her to redo the stains on the sweater. While we were discussing among ourselves if we wanted to give the yet ANOTHER chance, she said «don’t you trust me?» I said «trust you, we asked you specifically not to hang the sweaters and you didn’t listen, you missed the stains, so no, I really don’t» her response was «then take your clothes, I DONT CARE» She knew she was losing us as customers, but that statement says it all from a business owner.

No issues so far but I mainly use it due to convenience. Suites and shirts are done well but am surprised on how much more expensive it compared to the west coast.
