Even with a gray-filled overcast sky, this is a good place to people watch, whether they are conversing or fishing, view the breathtaking urban landscape that is called lower Manhattan or follow the boats floating along the Hudson River, and/or just take a break from the busyness of city living or from the sun-drenched rays. A couple other things that make it so significant is One World Trade Center/Freedom Tower has been completed(since last May) so we can see it from where we are, and the 4th of July weekend is days away in which we can celebrate America’s independence. This will be a great time to be at the park. You can grab a coffee, lunch or a cup of ice cream on any warm day and relax.

Absolutely love it. I have come here a few times during the weekends to relax. There is a lot of seating available and even a canopy-covered section. The park is very clean with tons of solar-powered garbage cans!!! The view is phenomenal. I can only imagine what it would be like once the Freedom Tower is completely finished and lit up. The weekends are great because there is a fair amount of parking available within a few blocks. A lot of the offices down there are closed during the weekends so it really is a pleasure to relax there. I’d imagine a lot of crowds are further north in the Hoboken area. There is also a Starbucks near there, right at the base of the park.

As past reviews clarify, this is a great pier with plenty of seating and amazing views of the downtown Manhattan skyline — and it’s right next to the Exchange Place PATH station, just north of the Paulus Hook ferry terminal, or a block east from the Exchange Place Hudson Bergen Light Rail. There’s a pavilion where you can escape the sun during midday, and during the summer, they set up umbrellas by the standing tables. That said, this place could still use more shading. In the mornings and on weekends, it’s a popular place for workout/meetup groups. And, like other areas along the Hudson waterway, local fishermen sometimes camp out for hours on end.

This is a very nice Pier, good seating, well lit, nice crowd of people. Amazing view of the Freedom Tower and of lower Manhattan, especially at sunset time.

It may not be a beach but its a great place to relax, smell the salt water, clear your head, get a suntan, spend quality time with your mate, check out the NYC view, get an early morning jog in, etc.

Not a green space as such, but a spacious pier with boardwalks and benches, and a glorious view of lower Manhattan. Plenty space to sit and enjoy the view, with businesses nearby to grab a bite to eat or a coffee whilst you sit and take it in.
