This place is worth coming in for, if you are around the area. It’s very affordable, parking at the front, and a lot of food to choose from.

Three star because I haven’t seen any home cook style filipino restaurant like this anywhere else and yet it failed in many ways. The food here is ok in terms of taste but I think the smaller fiesta grill they own at Newark Ave. taste a lot better and busier. Although this place is a bit bigger and classy than an ordinary filipino restaurant, the restrooms here are just as dirty and leaking. The parking lot can sometime get fully packed if people are having a party. Long ago, we always order crispy pata at this place till one of the employee tried to jack up the price just because it was already late at night… if that’s always the case, they should just close the place and ask people to come back the next day if they don’t want to serve fresh cooked food.

A little pet peeve for both locations why is it that by 5 p m there are so many dishes done for the day. Pancit should never run out. It’s a basic like rice. Been coming to this location for years as well as the one in 5 corners.

Filipino Restaurant that has a small buffet but also makes food to order. Food wasn’t that bad at all. I’m no expert but I enjoyed almost everything that was ordered. Sorry, no dish names. Large space with a big dance floor for line dancing. Two stars? Why do almost all the Asian restaurants in the area look and feel rundown and a little bit dingy? The interior looks like it was last updated when Carter was president and looked like it was last cleaned when the first Bush was president. That doesn’t really influence my decision to eat somewhere but it does irk me. It’s like the owners take no pride in what their business looks like. Oh well… Large TV’s everywhere which kinda sucked when the party next to us wanted to watch the NFL playoffs and the workers blasted the sound for the first half. Not very conducive to a nice dinner and conversation. The music for the dance floor started at 8pm which competed with the football game. The bathrooms were atrocious! The men’s room smelled like it was Satan’s urinal cake before he was kicked out of Heaven! The urinals wouldn’t flush, two out of three stalls were broken, and no soap or hand drying items at all. The women’s room ceiling was leaking all over the place. The handicap bathroom was ok till it flooded. The workers didn’t really seem too concerned about it… Lastly, the service sucked at first. No one approached us to ask for drinks or to provide water. That took 35 minutes to accomplish. After that, they were ok. Would I want to go back? No. But I would eat there again. Have Fun

I am hereby removing a whole star from my previous review due to an experience a friend and I had eating at this restaurant on a Wednesday night. It would seem that this establishment has turo-turo(see the explanation of this term in my previous review) and limited a la carte options on weeknights. My friend and I ordered the lumpia shanghai, classic pork sisig, and from the turo-turo area, the bistek(beef steak). The lumpia shanghai was the best part of our meal, and the sisig could have been a bit more crispy. The bistek, however, was extremely bland and quite tough in terms of texture. Generally, Filipino bistek is supposed to be sour and a bit salty. But the blandness of the bistek is not the reason why I am updating my review of this establishment. Towards the end of our meal, my stomach began to feel quite funny. Although the food we ordered was quite greasy, I don’t normally have a problem with digesting the food. My friend was less fortunate; his face began to become red with itchy hives, and he had to run to his in-laws’ place for allergy medicine immediately after our meal. He, too, does not normally have a problem with the food at this establishment. We suspect that the oil used in the fryer to prepare the food was«improperly aged.» I will be avoiding this place during the week and would strongly suggest that readers steer clear of this place on weeknights as well.

Most filipino restaurants serve food buffet style. Point out what you want and get it(turo-turo). I don’t like this style because the food isn’t quite what i’d call fresh. If you go here, stick with whatever they have to make to order, like the sisig or the crispy pata. Sisig is OK, not my favorite place to get sisig.(Mama Fina’s). Crispy pata(deep fried pork knuckle) is pretty hard to mess up so it’s pretty good.

Came here for a party, the food was delicious! I had the kare-kare which was delicious and the fried chicken which was so crispy and tasty. I would definitely come back here if it wasn’t so far from were I live. They also have parking across the street from the restaurant which is always a plus. However, crossing the street is like playing frogger because the cars zoom by and won’t let us cross the street. Other than that, no complaints here.

Been here multiple times. It’s a hit or miss but it’s more hits for me than miss. The Kare Kare and crispy pata are not to be missed! There palabok is better than the other ones in town but I ask for the sotanghon noodles, like jollybee’s, and the seafood topping to be freshly cooked. I wanted to try something new and the server suggested the sizzling bangus, couple dollars more than the pork sisig but worth it. It’s now in my repertoire to things to order when I’m there. The taro smoothie was so good I had to take one home, note ask for the pearls on the side. It doesn’t stay chewy and bouncy if you leave it too long in the smoothie. Parking is available which is a plus!

Lechon Paksiw is the standout dish! It’s just pork in sweet brown sauce and it’s awesome! I usually order some canton pancit and pour the palsied over it and go to town. I haven’t been all that adventurous with the menu but that’s mainly cuz when I go I usually have a taste for my favorite dish…

This place has an assortment of food in their buffet from which you can choose from. It has a pretty big selection from Beef mechado, lechon paksiw, kare kare, bbq meats and many others. Combo orders of 2 sides and 2 scoops of rice are 4.50, which isn’t bad at all. I had the beef mechado and lechon paksiw and tried other’s people’s dishes of fried milk fish and sig sig. They were all pretty solid. The place is bigger inside that you would think. Also has a huge parking lot across the street so it’s convenient. Service is not too friendly. My friend ordered a dish, was given another. Eventhough they got it wrong, they still charged my friend the higher amount because the wrong dish was more expensive. That’s bad customer service.

Last couple of times I’ve been here, I’ve had less than pleasant experiences. First off, the food is average. I still think the bangus is their best dish. This update concerns their customer service. 1) Saturday afternoon for lunch. They got something like 5 flatscreens lined up on 1 side of the restaurant. We decide to sit next to the tv by the door which was playing Nascar. I noticed no one in its vicinity was watching this so I asked one of the busboys to change it to the Derby. After no one changes it I asked again this time to a different busboy, who yells out to cashier in tagalog to change it. This bitch yells back in tagalog«No, we’re watching.» What kind of shit is this? Customers first you douchebag. Quickly gulped down my food and left before my blood pressure went up. 2) Weekday dinner with buds. How I ended back here? I don’t know but we wanted a quick cheap place to eat. We got 2 short orders: daing bangus and sisig. Now when you order sisig, the default understanding should be pork. I dont have to specify«pork». It’s pretty much implied. Not with these dimwits. They brought out a bangus sisig after waiting 10 minutes. On top of that, the cashier had the nerve to ask me to pay the $ 2 difference since she knew I had ordered the pork originally. Plus, we all agreed it was prepared rather too salty. These guys suck. I refuse to come back here. Check out Blue Ribbon on Mallory and Rowena’s on West Side. Smaller selection but service with a smile.

First things first: the one star above is for the food. If I could rate the service separately, I’d rate NO stars. If possible, negative stars. It was just horrible. I would conclude that making reservations is pointless. We had to pour our own water. They didn’t even try to please us. They were pathetic. We might as well have gone to Jollibee’s. However, the original location on Newark Ave. is still the much better choice. Go there. Don’t go here. Let them cater for you instead. Or take out. Save yourself the frustration. Not exactly the most pleasing location either. And for the record, this is the worst review I’ve ever Unilocaled. I didn’t like doing it. Why can’t the east coast Filipino restaurants follow the lead of the west coast ones?

Its actually bigger than it looks on the outside. They have sizzling sisig bangus which tastes AMAZINGGG! You’ve got to try it! They have a wide selection of food to chose from and prices aren’t bad either. We ordered the bistek, monggo, binagoongang baboy, calamari, sizzling bangus sisig, and two diet cokes. Guess how much all of it was? $ 30! Not bad right? But out of everything we ordered, my ultimate favorite was the bangus sisig. If you love fish, this is definitely a must try! Everything else was just ok, I’d actually give this review 3 stars if it weren’t for the sisig! Yes, that’s how good it was. :)

Definitely my favorite Filipino restaurant in the area! I love the turo turo, meaning there are several choices and you point to what you want, rice/pancit with 2 choices is like $ 5! The food and people are great! If you go on a Friday night, you’ll sometimes catch a party going on in the back so you’ll get a authentic feeling with the music bumping. There’s a parking lot right across the street too!

Awesome family-style Filipino restaurant with a parking lot and a dance floor devoted to line dancing(parties on Friday, I hear). Staff is friendly and efficient and food is served super-quick, super-cheap, and buffet style. You can get different curries, things like tripe, oxtail, barbecued pork, and vegetable stews of okra, eggplant, squash, and bitter gourds. Tons of selections and lots of interesting stuff you’ve never had before. Pancit is on tap. I’m not a bubble tea guy but the smoothie I had with tapioca was just delicious. I would definitely return.

I’ve attended a few family parties at Fiesta Grill and everyone seemed to be enjoying the food and having a good time. This location is along West Side Ave. and there’s a small parking lot across the street. It can become difficult to find street parking around this area so try to get here early if you’re coming for a party to secure a spot in the lot. Even while the«banquet hall» is rented out, the establishment still has customers come in to order from their buffet/“turo-turo” line so don’t be confused if you see people you don’t know during your family party! They also do a lot of catering, so customers might be in and out picking up their orders. The various dishes and desserts I’ve had in and out of parties are all good. Better than most of the Filipino places in JC. I prefer the food here than the Fiesta Grill — Newark Ave location also. They have a small dance floor in the back and a «DJ». What else do you need? Nothing goes better together at a Filipino family party then good food and line dancing!

We had a pretty large party here over the summer and the crew were very accommodating to the change and modification of orders/seating that kept happening throughout the night. Food orders come a la carte but no one is stopping you from finishing an entire dish on your own. They have line dancing on Friday and some Thursday nights. Be prepared to face the pros who do this on a weekly basis — they can be intimidating!
