Fells Cleaners

Had my winter coat cleaned here recently and it came out like new. Thank you to the staff at Fells!

Save your clothes and stay away. I would’ve given no star if it was possible.
They burnt one big part of of my suit jacket and didn’t tell me anything about it. I took the suit with me for a trip after a while and found that the front is totally burnt off !!!

It breaks my heart to give these guys anything short off remarkable, but in comparing to the various options in JC, as well as those in NYC from the days I lived there, I can’t say I’m impressed.
Pros: Leo is a great guy, and love his upbeat personality and responsiveness to my various requests. He is always quick to turn orders around and make sure things are communicated clearly. They also pickup at my building, which is convenient. You can also get 10−15% off your first dry cleaning order, which is nice.
Cons: Prices are way higher than some of the others in the area, and it doesn’t come with increased quality as I’ve seen so far. They also didn’t do a great job on repairing my leather shoes, which have since come apart again (I paid $ 50 for new soles and other repair work, which is a bit disappointing).
They are looking to expand, to a location closer to me, so I hope things will be better then. If not… there’s others to try first.

Sometime back, we lived in the Portside Towers apartment and they lost my husband’s shirt and then declared they were not responsible. That was the last time we ever did business with them.

We have been going to this place regularly for laundry since moving into the apartments right above the cleaners. At first we were extremely happy to have a cleaners located so conveniently to us however over the past few months our opinion has taken a complete 360 degree change.
1. If you are going here for the first time BEWARE! They will extort exorbitant amounts for cleaning — labellng it as dry-​cleaning on the pretext of a loose button.stains.something or the other– Would you really expect one to pay 6 bucks for dry-​cleaning of a shirt that is old and faded! And trust us when we say there were no loose buttons or stains!
2. On having discussion about this with them — we made it very clear that our account would only be having laundry and not dry cleaning — However the next time our parents went to hand them laundry they did the same thing again– charging 11 bucks for 2 shirts!!!
3. When we had a discussion with them about this — they proceeded to give us a tour of how the laundry business works and refused to listen to our point of view– forget getting the money back they refused to even listen to us. The owner says — «Let me finish». 0 stars for customer service or listening to customer!
We let it go once thinking it would not happen again– but scamming customers, overcharging for services, not listening to the complaints… considering there are many other options around one does not need to take such behavior from them. Taking our business elsewhere.
As far as quality of actual cleaning goes– Its not anything remarkable that one cannot get something similar elsewhere. Pretty standard.

I just tried this cleaner for the first time, and it was not a good experience. My new skirt, my favorite skirt, which cost me $ 90, was returned to me with large pin holes through the top. I was very upset about this, and I was told that there was no other option to keep it on the hanger and it’s fine. It is not fine to me! I was told that next time I get it cleaned I will see that it is fine, and that pins are always used. However, these left fairly large and noticeable holes in my new skirt. I will not be going back here. What a waste of $ 90, plus the cost of the dry cleaning, which was also fairly expensive. And it seems that there is nothing I can do but eat the cost of both because going in to discuss it did not result in any resolution.

They did a good job with my clothes, and they offer fast service with free pick up and delivery in the area. Can’t beat that!

I finally got the coat back– it was not ready until yesterday. They did not charge me. However, they were unable to get out the stain and would not refund my money from the original ineffective cleaning. It took $ 21 and almost three weeks to NOT get the stain out. Never going back.

I love this place! Eversince I moved out of the city was having a difficult time finding my go to place… so far so good! The family owned business has that personal friendly feeling as well!

Very decent job, although one time they lost the buttons off my Shanghai Tang pillows and gave me a hard time about replacing them, their prices aren’t bad. Don’t expect fluent English though. It’s Korean owned… and NO, it wasn’t MY blouse TYVM!!! You’re welcome for putting you guys on the map!
