Great food but the customer service was horrible. Everytime I needed something I had to get someone attention either by screaming excuse me or try to get eye contact. However the food was great.

Lamp Chops and chicken chops are to die for. You have to try the bullet and chilli garlic naan. Service is 10⁄10 and everybody so polite. Definitely will be my weekly spot! Another great time at curry on with friends from out of town. Atmosphere and staff are excellent,. Great drinks with amazing appetizers, defineltley a weekly spot!

This is my first review but I had to do it. Dinner at Curry On tonight was probably one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I’ve never had Indian food before and everything I had was amazing. The service was beyond great and the ambiance was perfect. I can’t wait to come back and try more things. Thank you for making my first Indian food experience absolutely phenomenal

Awsome food, better than all the joints on newark ave. Service is okay. The major complaint would be the ambiance, although interior is nicely decorated its a bit too dark for dinning. feels more like a club. Very noisey! Some loud heater noises, baby’s crying, kitchen noise and sometimes smell of burnt spices. Overall bad dinning experience although food is really good. May be I’ll just do takeout here.

Curry On is Curry Off for me. I’ve ordered from here quite a few times in the past and never had an issue. It had been a while since I ordered from here, so I felt like ordering from Curry On. No issues with placing the order, no issue with picking up the food as it was ready in 30 minutes, everything I ordered was there, packaged properly. My only issue from this visit is the food itself. My tangra kebab was so dry and tough, it was difficult to cut in to it with a fork and knife. The tangra kebab, being a special cut based around the thigh, should be very soft and juicy, but wasn’t the case this time. In the past it used to be one of my favorite dishes from here. The second issue was with the Chicken Lajawaab. As soon as I opened the container, oil just spilled all over my table. I never found this much oil in an Indian restaurant dish. I understand some dishes call for more oil than others, but this was just too much. I didn’t even feel like spooning out all the oil. I was turned off. I ended up throwing everything out, and settled for a satisfying bowl of cereal for dinner. I don’t remember this place being like this. I always liked the food. I used to even order the Matla Chicken, but after today’s visit, I won’t be ordering again. Seems like there has been a change in kitchen staff or something. Whatever it is, it’s Curry Off for me.

The worst place I have ever ordered food from as a delivery. They always mess up my order I will ask for not spicy and I will always get spicy as fuck dishes and vice versa. I hate to order from this place but my girlfriend keeps ordering from it and she says that she loves it. My life has been a hardship and terrible night experiences. Because of this place, I find myself having to choose between two options: sleep with empty stomach or eat this ridiculously spicy fucked up curry chicken. If I choose the first option I have nightmares that I’m living in a poor country where it is complicated to afford to have food in your stomach, but if I choose the second option it’s even worse because I could end up my night being in the hospital with an asshole throwing water mixed with curry colored shit. Don’t ever order from this place if you love yourself.

I came back here for chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and chicken lollipop. Each dish was fantastic and extremely well prepared. One minor thing I noticed was that lollipop and tikka masala were extremely red in color. But who cares. the food was delicious. Chicken tikka masala had the perfect balance of nutty creaminess and the tomato tanginess, none of the 2 overwhelming each other. My friend from Belgium had a great time, too. I am really surprised that this outlet has such few reviews and even less ratings, but all my outings here have been great so far. Last but not the least, gulab jamun as the dessert was awesome, fresh and hot. Keep it up, Curry on! I will come back for more.

Guys this place rocks simply because they are flexible and supportive. Guest service is warm n friendly. I be been coming here for food and drinks for past 3 years and so far always had good time. Owners are friendly and ambience is upbeat and vibes are positive. They keep on improvising and introduce new stuff every now and then. Great place to hangout and grab a grub with your gang or all alone. My kind of place. My favorite here are chicken chops and chicken seekh kebab. These days I am hooked to their fuzzy mule.

Excellent place for a relaxed meal. Big Screen TV and low lights add to the environ! I tried their Fresh Roti, Yellow Dal Tadka(my favorite in any Indian Restaurant) with Basmati Rice and Mushroom Masala. All finger licking good! Please post your favorite dishes when you visit — I intend to visit often!

The food is Bengali not Indian as stated in category here on Unilocal. Food is overpriced compared to other places nearby. Wait staff is rude, untrained and look shabby. The food– Chicken curry was flavorful but there was a TON of oil floating on top. We actually removed 6 tablespoons of oil with our spoons! Pomfret biryani was delicious, spicy and with sizable portions of fish. Flavors in this dish were spicy as requested– burst of chili, cardamom and cloves. Garlic naan was tough and hard to chew.

Didnt like the place. For specific order or no onion n Garlic, they added onion. aloo methi zeera is supposed to be dry and they gave a oily tomato based curry with potatoes not even peeled.

This is not a restaurant its a night club disguised as a restaurant. Food quality was normal nothing to get very excited about. Service was ‘OK’ nothing that would drive me back. Would not recommend for groups if you would like to have a conversation its very distractive place.

Horrible horrible service for Sunday buffet. Most of the dishes were empty and they were least bothered to refill it immediately. We ordered butter roti. It came in after 15 minutes and that too first they gave naan stating that the roti is coming and u may have naan till then. Also my friend found a coin of quarter dollar in his noodles. I would never recommend this place.

I have been to this place a few times and the service is consistently poor. I am writing this review just after a visit to this restaurant which ended up as i walked out of there. Reason– there was no one to take the order as we waited almost 20 min. There were only 3 other tables occupied which were already served so technically we were next. I even called out that we were ready to order which was ignored. I hope my review can reach the right people and they can take actions to improve the service. I would have given 5 stars coz there food is really food(chicken lajawab was great) but unfortunately the service is ignored.

Good place. Was hesitant because of the ratings. Only had 3.5 when searched. Exceeded my expectations. PROS: Good food. Good flavor. Interesting décor compare to many places. Nice and clean. Everything seems to be brand new. It’s worth a much higher rating. I paid less for my dinner that I would pay somewhere else. I travel across the east coast and always search for an Indian restaurant and this was a great choice. Cons: — naan was not as hot and started to dry out when the waiter brought it to the table. — staff needs to be slightly more attentive. — no napkins. Just one. It’s definitely a must at an Indian place with all of the sauces. — they had a delivery of food supplies and dragged everything across the dining room. All of the things above could be fixed after one staff meeting and that is why I give this place 5 stars. The food, décor and prices will meet your expectations.

I decided to give this place a try based on my good experience with kebabs I had here. So I ordered murgh dum biryani, daal maharani and lacchha parantha. I called to order for delivery and the guy I spoke to was very interesting!!! I think he said his name was Pragnesh, i could be wrong. Anywho while i was ordering I asked him whats the total, he said million dollar and we started talking about lottery. He even asked me the numbers i would pick if i were to buy a ticket and chose those numbers for his ticket!!! Long story short, he was nice… Sent me free 4 peice ras malai with my order. Thanks curry on. Important info– their biryaani is good but its not consistently good. When I ordered again, the chicken wasn’t as tender and it tasted stale. Their kebabs(lamb and chicken) were finger licking too. Daal maharani was good, not great but hey 5 stars for biryaniii yummmmm

This is located at the beginning of India street but for some weird reason, we have always walked right past it without noticing it. From the outside it sees to be just another Indian place but once inside, the décor and general layout differentiate it from the rest. The décor is casual yet classy. The lighting is dim and the overall ambience helps you to sit back, relax and have a good time. There is a decent wine/alcohol list unlike most Indian places that don’t serve alcohol. For those of you who don’t prefer alcohol, they have virgin pinacoladas, lassis, juices and milkshakes. I found the pinacoladas a good deal for $ 4. We started with the lamb Seekh Kabab which was juicy and tangy and delectable! The portion sizes are good and we were almost half full after sharing the appetizer. It was followed by Desi chicken which came with a side of rice and we also got the garlic naan. The chicken curry was delicious and paired well with our naan and rice. The service too was quick and pleasant. The prices seem to be on par or maybe just a tad higher than most places. Overall, if you want to experience Indian cuisine in a laid back, relaxed way as opposed to the the quick hustle and bustle with no frills way, this is the place to seek out in India street!
