I hired this plumber to have my hot water heater replaced. They start out on time and replaced the water heater; before they left our home, they said it will take a few hours to get the hot water flowing… We turned on the hot water in the bath and kitchen after a few hours and the hot water comes out with very low pressure; prior to that, we never had any low pressure situations in our home. We contacted Clear Flow and informed them of the problem. They came back the 2nd time and told us the faucet valves were bad — working perfectly fine prior to them replacing our hot water heater — and will cost us an additional $ 450 to change the valves. This whole ordeal did not make any sense at all. I spoke to my friend who is a mechanical engineer and he explained to me how the hot water heater works. So, we called another plumber that my friend had recommended. This plumber came, opened up the pipes and found that they were stuffed with papers/debris that caused the low pressure; and he told us this was done maliciously by the previous plumber who worked on the plumbing. The water is flowing fine after the pipes were cleared out. I don’t think I was the only one that Clear Flow had ripped off. I strongly believe there were many victims fall prey to this unethical company. I am hoping by writing this review on Unilocal would help others from being victimized by Clear Flow in the future.

Have been using Clear Flow for all our plumbing needs for about three years now. Putting in new heater and boiler, moving the radiators, fixing the garbage disposal attachment, etc. Would call them first for any job without hesitation. They are probably not the cheapest, but in my opinion they are worth the price. They do good job and most importantly for me they know how to plan their time. They come when they promise to come and they finish on schedule.

I’ve used Clear Flow twice in the last 6 months to fix some leaky pipes and each time they’ve done a great job. Both times they were the cheapest quotes and not to mention one of the few plumbers in the area that would actually show up when they said they would. The Plumbers were fast and polite and I’ll be using them in the future.

I just used Clear Flow and am sure I was being taken advantage of. The original quote was $ 550 plus tax to «cap a pipe». After calling another reputable service I’ve used in Southern Jersey, I was told that was an unfair quote, and should have been closer to $ 250. After I mentioned that, Clear Flow brought the price down to $ 445. I still did not agree to the work however, because they hadn’t even evaluated the entire situation. Eventually(after starting the work without my approval) we came to an agreed price of $ 350 plus tax, but they requested CASH??? Come on. They started the work of capping the pipe and assured me it would not affect other appliances. Famous last words because once it was all complete, my stove didn’t work! They did fix their problem without a fight… so that is good i guess. But when it came to payment they said they did not take credit cards although the Clear Flow website clearly states that. I’ve lived in Jersey City for 10 years. I have yet to find reputable workers that are trustworthy and kind. I’ll continue searching and post when they day comes.

I had a GREAT experience with these guys, working to clear a slow kitchen sink drain. The problem was worse than they had originally thought, but they were good-natured and stuck it out to get the job done. I didn’t do any price-comparison, but if you are like me, you would gladly pay a little more for a good experience.
