I went to C-Town on Central Ave. for the first time in a long time. I wanted to pick up a loaf of sliced white bread and some whole wheat pita. Since I wasn’t familiar with the store layout, I pretty much walked most of the store. There were a few items on sale, and they seemed fairly priced, but I didn’t get a chance to compare the regular-priced items. The store is very run down but kept relatively clean. The produce was so-so, lots of canned goods and other non-perishables, but NOBREAD! They had hotdog and burger buns, some whole wheat and potato bread, but no white bread other than Wonder Bread. Seriously? And I couldn’t find any pita bread. I probably won’t be coming back again for another few years. Honestly, you’re better off going to Rite Aid or Stop & Shop if you want walkable options.

This place is horrible. It’s overpriced to begin with. Things seem to be outdated and vegetables aren’t fresh. I would never buy any type of meat products from here. I once asked for some kind of discount for a product that wasn’t fully fresh and I was told no. That was disappointed This place is only good if you need to buy something you forgot to get when you went grocery shopping. Otherwise save your money

Place is horrible. Old vegetables. Weird brands. Bad setup. If you are not selling vegetables just discontinue, expand more on some other stuff. I will never go there again. Even the smell is terrible ! Yuck

C-Town I wonder what the C stands for try crack Everything looks old, The management kind of just chills there. God forbid you ask about coupons and discounts. Everyone is confused. The meat section must be shared between journal square store and this one. Its a scare site. NOTHING looks fresh. Another he’ll hole in Jersey city. But when you need something Quick and even more Expensive than a Bodega come here Its Bodega XXL Nothing is ever on sale. Might as take the Walk to Stop N Shop down central ave
