Miller’s Jensen Ale House

We stopped by on a whim. I saw the special for the month of a Mahi Mahi Reuben Sandwich which sounded odd, but decided to try it. What a pleasant surprise. The flavor was excellent, the fish was very fresh and the overall concept is a real winner. My wife ordered the Mahi Mahi fish tacos which were pretty good, but after tasting my sandwich she stole half from me in trade for a taco. She had the red beans and rice as a side which were very tasty. Service was great and prices were very reasonable. I would stop here again if I was in town without hesitation. Love the place.

Great place! First time there. I had the 35 fried shrimp, Cole slaw, rice & beans. Ridiculous amount of food. $ 10.95. Food was awesome. I will def be coming back. Happy hour specials look terrific. And, open till 1am. Server (sorry I didn’t get her name, she was wonderful) Can’t wait to go back!

This bar is apparently the only place in port saint lousey with a 2 drink an hour limit? First of all who the has ever heard of that second of all the drinks are horrible. They really have nerve refusing to serve a paying customer who is behaving properly and is not drunk off of their weak drinks. This place sucks we will never go there again.

How funny is this? We haven’t been here in 10 months because of traveling so much. We come in to watch the Jets play and sit at the bar. Who is our bartender? Jane P. again. Food was on point and drinks were always filled. Jane P… You are the best and such a delight! Thanks for making our Sunday so much fun.

Cool place to watch any sporting event you desire with a casual atmosphere. Large menu with a variety of items for anyone. Big bar area if you care to drink or dine alone. Can have some loud nights, as they sponsor some local teams.

Tonight we ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta for 11.99. and the Jambalaya for 12.99. Both were pretty dam spicy but very good meals. Definitely have both of these dishes again.

«We don’t have oysters here»
«But it says Raw Bar right outside on the sign»

Pointing to the bottom of the beers section in the menu at the Ale House where it says, «Please ask your waitress about our regional selections.»
Waitress — «We don’t have any.»
Me — «Okay…»
Ordered steamed clams, they didn’t bother to wash the sand off of them.
Ranger IPA was pretty good but then the bill came:
«$ 6.95 for a pint of standard IPA, is this a mistake?»
«No that’s right, it’s a good IPA»
«Yeah it’s pretty good, but the price is twice what it should be»
«That’s the price»
«People aren’t going to come back once they see these prices»
«Maybe you should drink Budweiser»
BUDWEISER?! There is no greater insult to a homebrewer and dedicated craft beer drinker. She blithely offered the greatest insult anyone could have thought up at that moment. Maybe she thought she was being funny but I couldn’t have been more thoroughly insulted.
There is a growing craft beer movement in this country and Ale House has no stake in it.
If you’re looking for quality Ales or Raw Bar offerings, stay away from Jensen Ale House and Raw Bar.

Love the atmosphere of this place and the service is fantastic. Always happy with servers that smile and check on you multiple times. The hostess was darling as well, opening the door for us as we left and letting us know the ground was slippery since it poured rain while we ate.
The food was great. My company had the mild wings, which were tender and moist and large in size. If you love wings this is easily the best place to go, or so my company told me as I didn’t try them.
The French Onion soup was delicious and bursting of flavour, if a tad sweet for my tastes.
The Calamari was decent, it was lacking in tentacles and a little on the greasy side but I still ate them all and definitely enjoyed it. I’ll make sure to ask for «no cheese on top» if I ever get them again though.
I got the Shrimp Mac n Cheese and it was delicious, however it could have done without the breadcrumbs all over the top as they added no flavour and did nothing good for the texture in my opinion.
Dessert was the highlight for me though, and I usually don’t like super sweet things but I am a huge fan of peanut butter. We got the Nutter Butter something… Don’t recall the exact name, but it was AMAZING and drizzled with caramel and fudge and I regret nothing.

I have been to Ale Houses in several different places, this was by far the worst. I ordered a guacamole burger, the buns were soaked all the way through with grease, as well as the fries. The guacamole was slapped on when the burger was too hot, and it melted off the side into a green, slimy puddle. The manager came around and asked how everything was, and I showed the mess that was on my plate, that I left untouched. He didn’t offer to take it back or take it off our check. Because of that experience, I don’t go to Ale Houses at all anymore. I’d rather spend my money elsewhere.

Have to say I was pleased food was good and portions ok went for dinner on a Tuesday night place had people but not overrun. I had the Ossobuco (pork shank) have to say it met the expiation and look as good as it did in the menu photo which is rare now day’s. Prices also ok 2 beers dinner and a side salad $ 20 definitely put it on the be back again list the menu had a lot so have to try more.

Went to millers for lunch. My friend had my favorite zingers salad and the chicken was perfect this time. Not overly breaded, moist and delicious. I tried their BBQ chicken salad special… it was great. Honestly one of the best I’ve had. I also LOVE that they are offering military a 59 percent off discount for the fourth. No one in my family serves, but I am so grateful and supportive of businesses that respect and treat our Heros who keep us safe

Boyfriend had the fish and chips and loved it, I had the stew served in a breadbowl and it was delicious too, couldn’t beat it for the price, under $ 7 a person of you eat off the daily special menu like we did.

The ossobuco was delicious! Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and the staff were very nice, especially the manager, he stopped by our table to say hi and took time to talk with us and answer some questions we had, he was very passionate about the food which was nice to see. We will definitely be back!

I ordered the spinach dip and 35 Shrimp my husband ordered the 7 Oz choice flat iron steak. Love the place service was very prompt we received our spinach dip very quickly and the food was delicious.

This place is great. Huge pourtions, good customer service and decent food. My pork shank was fantastic. It was a huge cut and was paired with fresh grean beans and mashed potatoes. Everything was seasoned well and I was very happy with our waitress. Come check this place out!

Our server wasn’t very friendly, she actually really got on all of our nerves between the rudeness and staring us down to hurry us out the door bc her shift was supposedly ending, although she remained there past the next 30 mins we were there after hurrying to cash out bc of her shift ending. I was very disappointed in the Zingers. I had then tossed in the Hot Garlic sauce, definitely would not recommend that flavor. It wasn’t even spicy, just had a weird taste. Overall I really wasn’t very impressed, don’t think that I would try again especially since there are so many other great places in town.

I sat at the bar on my visit. The bartender was Danielle, she was very knowledgable about the menu and have me the bar specials right away!
Danielle recommended the prime rib and let me just say that it was absolutely delicious! It was cooked just how I ordered it and came out very quickly !
Overall the staff was friendly and management was always making sure the guest around and myself were enjoying our visit!

Wow… this place used to be great. Not so much anymore. I went there a few days ago with a few friends. I and another person had the French dip that had untoasted bread. They were so soggy (before even hitting the anjou) that they fell apart.
The wings were in a bowl if greasy sauce.
And the burger was smaller than the untoasted bun by an significant amount.
Nothing is as disappointing as a once great restaurant becoming a place you cross off your list.
