Amazing portobello sandwich on focaccia with avocado. Not gluten free, but worth it. Iced decaf soy latte different and a bit strong, but good. My husband loved the clam chowder… said it was legendary. Beautiful setting, cute café with amazing live music on the patio. Band played Miss Ohio by Gillian Welch.

Happened upon this spot while looking for where the Russian river meets the Pacific Ocean. Amazing sandwiches, even better vibe and scenery. Would love to take an out of town guest here to show them what California is all about.

The best coffee and creamer I’ve ever tasted. The homemade creamer that they slather onto the top of their organic drip coffee is the bomb! No sugar required. It all has such a great flavor together. I suggest that you don’t use a lid and this way you can enjoy the creamer with every sip!!!

another place that we wished we could stayed a little longer for a second or third cup. great super smooth pour over, and there was no better place to have a cup during the trip.

We’re pretty local folks, drive out regularly about 20 minutes for great lattes, sandwiches, a tasty brothy chunky clam chowder, and best of all, the big macaroons. It’s a great place to hang out by the water with a distant ocean view. Nice people hang out there. If you’re thinking of a stop going by, do it!

Such a charming place! We popped by just for a break in a road trip and were instantly welcomed by a sweet and knowledgable lady behind the counter; tempted by her passionate review of the organic and freshly baked goods not to mention the amazing setup for pour over coffee we were excited to partake! Will definitely be stopping here again next time we are in the area.

There was a dearth of good coffee shops in the small town of Guerneville, where we were staying for a weekend getaway, so we decided to drive on to the coast and prayed that we’d stumble upon a coffee shop that brews a good cup of joe. The coffee gods answered our prayers! In the small town of Jenner we came across Café Aquatica. It’s right next to the river, and the café has a stage out there for live music and lots of seating for customers. We ordered the drip which was quite good. No bitterness and very drinkable without cream and sugar, which is how I like to drink my coffee. Not a bad price either and they gave the hubby a discount for his second cup. They sell their coffee beans here as well. $ 10 for 10 ounces. We shared a cinnamon roll, and I ended up ordering their smoked salmon sandwich. The cinnamon roll was good. The sandwich had a little too much greens. I ended up having to take out most of it so I can bite into it. I also wish they had put a little more smoked salmon in there. No wifi and no cellular signal at all in this area of Jenner. You will not be able to check in or make a call from this part of Highway 116. All in all, it’s good to know this coffee shop serves good coffee. Next time we’re driving up the coast, we’ll definitely return if we’re needing coffee.

It’s hard to say — I was staying across the street and looked forward to another cup of coffee and some breakfast, but I was mostly out of cash and they are cash only. The proprietor did say six dollars would get me a cup of coffee and a muffin which was gracious of him although I waited for a really long time. That said, the coffee and muffin were delicious.

I don’t get all the five star reviews for this pricey food shack. I wasn’t ready for their watery style of chowder, but it was OK. Wife had a sandwich she said was acceptable. That plus two drinks totaled $ 26.00, which seems high to me. Latte fans: disturbingly there was a delivery of fresh milk stacked high in crates out back that just sat there in the sun for who knows how long. Looks like they have various coolers and shabby wooden cabinets all around this establishment where they store fresh food. You gotta wonder about food safety with this kind of rinky-dink setup.

This review is a bit late, but I must write it because of the beautiful experience we had there. My boyfriend and I went on a spontaneous weekend trip up the northern California coast at the end of August. After a long night sleeping in our car on the side of the highway, we desperately needed some coffee to start our day. We stopped at Jenner initially just to fill up on gas, but this café’s quirky, artistic sign immediately caught my attention. There wasn’t a lot of parking in front of the place, but that just added to the«locals only», tucked-away beauty of this place. The small café offers sandwiches, cookies and pastries, and coffee of course. The inside can’t have been bigger than my living room, but the real beauty is the wooden outdoor patio which overlooks the Jenner Gulch of the Russian River. We sat at a table facing the river, sipping our latte, listening to a local musician singing country blues, and watching the morning fog slowly roll over the mouth of the river. We went away for the weekend searching for hidden gems, and we found one here at the Café Aquatica.

Stopped for brunch here on a long drive down Hwy 1, and it was one of the highlights of the whole trip. Good food(tasty and artfully presented), friendly service, and a stellar view of the river.

OMG!!! The best fresh brewed coffee in town!!! «Eggs All Day» was the best way to start the day ever! Loved the greens!!! Only mistake we made all weekend, was not ordering it with a side of avocado! Breakfast hindsight… Don’t forget the avocado!!! We will spend the next 6 months trying to perfect this breakfast at home! So nom, nom, nom!!!

This place is truly the heart of Jenner. We almost always stop there for coffee when we head to the Sonoma Coast. What we love most is the outdoor seating area. Beautifully decorated with wood benches and cute succulents, and of course, overlooking the Russian River anytime in the day, especially at Sunset, is exceptional! They are genuine but a bit over priced. I tried the clam chowder once; it wast tasty but had the«sandy» feel in the mouth. The poached egg on focaccia, and the salmon lox are both yummy. Although, they refused to make the egg any other style. Why?! No bathroom, so you have to go to the public restroom around the corner, which is not so pleasant. The staff are usually friendly but I agree with the other reviews that they are not the most attentive.

5 star location 2 star attitude, everything seemed overpriced, the muffin we had was terribly dry, the espresso were not prepared properly, and the barista was giving me a lot of attitude, no thanks. Cash only, but you know they have an ATM… «There’s no wifi here, you’re suppose to unplug and enjoy the outdoors» thanks for your pretentious comments when I’m only trying to use my maps app. No service, 4g etc in Jenner and parts of the coast FYI

A local gem! Don’t miss it when in the area… homemade breads, scones, and thick, warm, luscious clam chowder. The Dungeness Crab sandwich is amazing — big chunks of crab & fresh bread. They don’t serve alcohol, but you can go across the street to the gas station to buy beer & bring it back for dining. The outdoor picnic tables and lawn chairs are perfect for sipping coffee, slurping chowder, and/or scarfing down a hefty sandwich while gazing upon the ocean, scouting seals, or waving to kayakers. If I lived nearby, I’d be a regular. Excellent staff too.

First a tip for you: they are cash only! I still love this place. I still love the perfect location, the great tea collection, the great coffee, the food, the gluten-free offerings. So much about this place is amazing. The service is not-so-amazing the last several times I’ve been here. The staff are forgetful, get orders incorrect, and aren’t attentive at all. This is still the best coffee spot along this area of the coast, and I’ll continue to stop here every time I have occasion to drive by! But the staff just isn’t as kind or as on top of it as they once were.
