This is not only the best ballet studio in Jenkintown (by far!), Pointe magazine called it one of the top 7 ballet schools in America cultivating top talent. There is simply no comparison in terms of faculty, training, performance opportunities and the personal attention and nurturing students get from founder and artistic director Lisa Collins Vidnovic and her outstanding MBA and guest faculty. We found Metropolitan after I was increasingly frustrated by other local schools (we tried 3) that rushed girls on pointe without proper training or physical readiness — on stage, they all looked like injuries waiting to happen. Lisa is one of the rare local ballet school founders who actually had a long professional dance career. Both of my daughters grew up at Metropolitan — truly nothing else like it in the greater Philly region! And its nationally acclaimed Boys’ Scholarship Program is an incredible opportunity for boys.
