I went yesterday to buy some bras. Something I have not done since I had a baby, so there was a bit that’s changed since then. The saleswoman, Ahuva was very kind, showed me to a dressing room and measured me. She came back with two bras to get a sense of my preferences. She then came back with 9 options that all looked spectacular. This was my second time bra shopping in three days. The first time, I went to an outlet store and they put me into a bra that made me feel like a troll. The difference between other places and Jay Ann’s is that Ahuva knew how to measure me AND also knew the inventory in the store well enough to know how those measurements translated across styles and brands. Not only did she measure me as a completely different size than the other store, but we wasted no time on trial and error. I just had to debate with myself about how many to buy. Now a word on price, I tried on bras that ranged from 60 – 110, with most ranging from 60 – 90. But each one looked amazing and felt great, so the investment was worth it. If you just want to be fitted, they charge $ 25. They will also tailor bras as necessary if you are forever in between sizes.
