This place has very good sweets. I thought some of the things were a bit overpriced, but not so much so that it was a deal breaker. And everything I got (just stuff behind the counter) was very good. I’d love to order something and get it fresh and warm, I bet it would be even better!

Based on taste and appearance of Ida’s Red Velvet Cake (since I was the lucky guest of a dinner party that ended with this sweet speciatly), the Shoppe gets 4 stars. I love cake, and have definitely eaten my fair share of it over the years, so I can say that I’ve had better and worse Red Velvets. It was still delicious, and it made for the best breakfast the next morning. Any day that starts out with cake is a winner in my book.
