Yes, the hotel is not in the best shape… but I’m giving this hotel 4 stars for another reason. I was caught in a horrible snowstorm and stopped here when the interstate was closing. The customer service that I received from a manager named Roger was fantastic. He knew exactly who I was when I came up to the counter and remembered me by name in the morning. Even through all of the anxious customers during the snowstorm he never lost his cool and stayed so pleasant.(Even though he was the only one working!) One of the staff even brought in homemade sausage gravy in the morning for the free breakfast. Roger deserves a raise!

Standard rooms– being updated– clean– the price is right and free breakfast was outstanding!(Biscuits and gravy, waffles, donuts, muffins, cereal, yogurt, etc. and a very sweet lady attending the bfast room). Adequate for a one night stay on your road trip.

I came here due to the weather being so severe on our drive back home. With that being said, I took this place because we had no other choice. I would never choose to stay here or pay what they ask. It’s old, run down, and the beds are old, lumpy, and it had no matress pad. The sheets were not even tucked in or properly put on. Chilling.

This place is a dump. Dirty as the pictures show, bad AC, etc. But it is cheap if that’s your main criteria. We stayed here because they allow pets, but even the dogs were afraid they would get bugs. PS we did not get bugs!

I mean it isn’t a modern motel, but it is cheap, available from many online sites to reserve(which I did) and has a pool, albeit closed at this time… must not be the swim suit season yet in the hinterlands of TN? I arrived late… near midnight, but the front desk was open, the person was helpful and the room was fine. In the morning, I had to get some things done online before I hit the road and when I dialed the Operator he was very helpful with information on the wireless and things to watch out for. seems a signal is funky in my room. For a dirt cheap place like this in the middle of nowhere it is interesting to find the internet has embedded itself squarely. If you drive I-75, this might be the place to lie your weary head… like I did.

Good cheap hotel. It’s set up against a very scenic mountain ridge just above I-75. Decent staff, well kept rooms and decent rates. What more could one ask for passing through Jellico, Tennessee?
