BEDBUGS!!! I gave 1 star just because there is no lower rate I can select, this is the worst hotel I ever stayed and I will NEVER come to this hotel again!!! The rooms smells like S**T, the room was not cleaned properly and lines were never changed, MOST importantly, I was bite by bedbugs with hundreds of bites due to which I had to see doctor and took medicine, and threw all the clothes I ever wear in that hotel!!! NEVEREVER go to days inn again!!!

I haven’t written a negative review on Unilocal, but this place took the cake for awfulness. I would NEVER stay at this place again! I was in town for the Derby staying with friends, but had made a reservation a month in advance for an extra night in town after the festivities. When my boyfriend and I walked into the hotel it smelled of something rank; it was pervasive throughout the lobby. I noticed the two hotels on either side had piles and piles of carpets outside their doors. I assumed that they were just hotels that were shutting down, but now it makes me wonder. The room we were given smelled terribly of smoke; despite the fact that said no smoking. We asked the man at the front desk for a new room and his initial reply was, «I don’t smell anything» despite the fact that he didn’t go into the room and check. He did give us a new key, but things weren’t much better. The second floor didn’t smell as badly(more of a musty smell which was better than cigarettes), but I started noticing problems. First, the top lock was missing and they were out of Kleenex. OK, no big deal as I can live with that. Next, I saw that the cover(not the duvet, but their weird foam like cover on the sheet) was covered with black streaks and stains. That could have been mascara or something else, but it looked pretty disgusting and made me wonder if the bed had been changed recently. Then I realized there was no bottom sheet; just two top sheets on the bed. The straw that broke the camel’s back was the chewed up looking holes in my pillow case. I couldn’t tell if these were from rodents or cigarettes, but I KNEW I couldn’t stay there a moment longer. My boyfriend spoke with the guy at the front desk to tell him we were checking in somewhere else. He refunded half of our money(since we were there less than an hour), but didn’t apologize or offer to fix anything. He said to my boyfriend, «I don’t understand why that would freak anyone out.»

14 males booked double rooms through Priceline well in advance. While en route we discovered the only rooms they would offer us was with single king beds. The staff stonewalled us, referring us back to fine print in Priceline agreements. I have never seen such refusal to be reasonable or accommodating. They had enough double queen rooms but wanted us to pay almost twice the original rate. They wanted to charge $ 100 for cots. Unbelievable! The breakfast buffet was sub par with no fresh foods, just carbs. The rooms seemed clean enough but stank from an unknown source. If we weren’t committed, prepaid and trapped, we would have never stayed there.

The bad: The room was a little shabby. The bedding/bed were great(which really one of the most important things, right?), but the room over all felt a little run down and strangely laid out. The bathroom was terrible– Dark and had a super loud fan automatically came on with the light. The tv & reception weren’t the best. The biggest complaint– The walls were SUPER thin. Like we could clearly hear our neighbor’s shower & super loud bathroom fan the next morning. The okay: Breakfast was over at 9, which there was no way we could make. Not a huge deal, because we could’ve planned better– But it would’ve been nice if it had lasted until at least 10. The hotel has nothing immediately close to it other than other hotels– Not even a visible gas station. Wasn’t a problem for us the particular night we were there, but I usually prefer staying near at least 1 or 2 restaurants/convenience stores. The good: Really nice staff when we checked in. The lobby has been nicely updated, and it looked like the dining room and fitness room were nice, too. I think there was also a security guard on staff that kept an eye on the parking lot at night. Overall: Wasn’t the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but a far cry from the best. It seemed kind of expensive in relation to what the place was. Most likely won’t stay here again.

We stayed here after the fiasco in Lexington at the Ramada(barf). The A/C was super cold, mini kitchenette type situation — refrigerator and counter with a sink, like a wet bar. Really convenient to the highway. The hotel staff was really accommodating when we arrived early and let us check in 2 hours early. Nice exercise equipment room. Totally over slept the continental breakfast, too many beers the night before.
