Very good food. Great service. Will definitely go back again. Large portions big enough to split. Eggroll appetizer fantastic. Chicken alfredo dish very good.

So first off, let me just say that I really dislike Italian food and everything associated with it. My wife and I ate here with some friends after hearing about how great the food was. We ordered a few drinks from the bar before we had our food. WARNING: This is the worst bar selection I’ve ever seen! Their beer selection is absolutely bizarre. I love unusual and hard to find brews, but I’m fairly sure no one working there would ever drink any of them. One beer tasted like cherry cough syrup. As for food, my wife ordered a chicken parm and was very pleased with her food. I on the other hand, ordered their roast beef sandwich. The good was that it must have had over a pound of roast beef on it, and the meat and mushrooms were very very good. The bad: it was suppose to be a sandwich with auju. It came on a soup plate with a full sandwich roll, but it was completely at the bottom swimming in the auju that was poured on it. The bread was hard to look at, it was gross and falling apart. I would have much rather had an actual sandwich(as the menu suggested it was) and a cup of auju to dip in. There really is no reason for me to ever come back in this place. Without a decent bar selection, and the inability to make a sandwich, I’m just not interested in ever coming back.

We went on a Saturday around 5 pm and had a party of 5 and was surprised when we were seated right away. I had a patty melt that was great(remember to order fries on the side as they don’t come with it). My wife had a pizza which was good. The price was good and the service was great.

Yum yum! A nice find for my belly! Delicious food, better than you’d expect from the slightly generic atmosphere. It’s on a cute historic street. An interior designer could instantly transform the overall feel and experience in a positive way. The menu features some interesting apps and pasta dishes, and great pizza. We had antipasti egg rolls(tasty), garlic breadsticks(nothing special but had garlic butter and a divine red saice for dipping), caesar salad(homeade dressing, fresh and good not great), white clam sauce(awesome), chk gorgonzola pasta(double awesome), and an ital sausage pizza(crispy goodness). No garnishes, no frills, just a solid showing of quality food. They did allow us to get ½ orders of pasta which was plenty. The place was spotless, restrooms spic-n-span. We went on a Fri night at 8. The place was almost full, which was surprising because the neighborhood seemed deserted. Go for the food. It’s not gourmet by any means, but it will do you right.

I am so happy to have found this place! Great local flavor, friendly staff. I had the Bolognese sauce, probably the best I have had. We started with some antipasto wontons too, so good! Finished with an order of Tiramisu also delicious. We had a minor issue with one entrée, but the manager replaced it quickly and did not charge for it. Great people and great food!

It was ‘fine’. We had heard from more than a few people that this was a great place… I’m not sure what all the fuss is for. While there was nothing terrible it was a let down. The place lacks ANY ambience. It looks as though they set up shop yesterday with leftover furniture from a Moose Lodge. I will say it was clean, but the inside needs a complete overhaul. The food was ‘ok’. Not inedible, just incredibly clunky. The italian nachos were a good idea, but so covered in bechemel that you couldn’t taste any other ingredients. My husband and I both got sandwiches; neither of which you could actually pick up to eat. The meatballs were the best bite of thr meal, but the sauce tasted of uncooked redwine which spoiled the bite. The place couod be so much more with some tweaking, but as is, we wouldn’t return.

We went here on a Saturday night before Ironman Louisville so my friend could«carb up» before her race. It was great because we didn’t need reservations, like the places downtown, and we were seated very quickly. The service was slow at times but the food was great and the server was very friendly. It seemed like a great little local place to enjoy a drink or some Italian food.

Right across the bridge from downtown Louisville, going to the Come Back Inn in Indiana was like stepping back in time in more than one way. The small town feel of the location made it a relaxing night out. Once inside it quickly became apparent that it was a place the locals liked. That’s always a good sign. We were there the night before the Ironman race. Pasta was the goal. My friend had the spaghetti and meatballs which was flavorful and satisfying. I had the pasta dish with mushrooms. The waitress told me that often diners combine the garlic cream sauce and the pesto sauce. I took her advice and asked for the same and didn’t regret it. They weren’t stingy with the mushrooms and it was delicious. We were surprised that fresh Parmesan was not a option. We used the kind in a shaker on the table and it was actually just fine. The bread that came with our giant portions was nothing special. But we didn’t need it. If we lived closer we would definitely Come Back!

Great food! Restaurant atmosphere was so so. We had pizza which was terrific. It has a thin flakey crust with fresh tastey toppings. The food brought to other tables all looked delicious. We will be back to try more.

One of the best places to eat in Jeff. When they have Pasta with Duck on the ‘Specials’ menu– Get it!!! It’s delish!!! It’s definitely where the locals go. Consistently delicious food, pleasant wait staff and relaxed dining.

We had been to this place before but I’m glad we tried it again because it was better than I remembered it. It is a small restaurant but it was a Tuesday night so they weren’t too busy. The décor and tables are not anything special… just restaurant tables and boring black chairs… however that is ok with me as long as the food and service are great… and they were! The waitress was nice and helped us make decisions for our meal. The only real disappointment was that one of the people we are with wanted the jumbo ravioli… but she told us it was homemade and they wouldn’t have it again until the weekend(it was Tuesday)… So we ordered the Greco(Mediterranean), Gorgonzola, the linguine with sausage, and the bolognese with cheese tortellini. Their pasta is made to order so you could ask them to leave something off but all of the entrees were very good! The dessert was my favorite part though… we tried the tiramisu, chocolate sheet cake, and the cheesecake. The sheet cake was not as good as a boxed cake mix in my opinion… it was not good… the tiramisu and cheesecake were amazing though! I love tiramisu and this one was perfect! Just right balance of coffee to chocolate and cream… we will be returning here soon!

Very suprised! Didn’t know it even existed until I found it on Unilocal!Smelled amazing walking through the door and the food did not disappoint! ! Service was a little slow but that could be expected when you have a full restaurant. Server was awesome and very knowledgeable and friendly. And location is great, walking distance to walking bridge and riverfront as well as historic Jeffersonville.

This is a happy and informal place. The menu is not dull at all, rather adventurous and can compete with anything across the river. The service is always polite. When I visited my waitress had a surly table and I watched with amusement as she kindly dealt with them. I was very impressed.

My team went here for lunch from work today. They don’t take reservations but had no problem seating 14 of us. The service was very good and most of us enjoyed our meals. I ordered the Patty Melt, a juicy, flavorful hamburger patty with melted cheese and sauteed onions served on toasted ciabatta bread. It was excellent!

Delicious! Unique specials! Huge portions and awesome neighborhood atmosphere! Feels like home away from home with the friendly staff! My favorites are any pizza special especially the Smokehouse Pizza or The Brie Pizza. You cannot go wrong with any pasta special you order! Great beer selection as well! A must have if you are in the Kentuckiana area. Locals love it!

Since my original review, I’ve now been back a handful of times and I always leave fat, dumb & happy. The food overall is just that good and on the nights that The Comeback has specials then your in for a real treat. The amount of outstanding food, always spot on service and the great draft beer selection(for those you looking for more than a Miller or Bud bottled beer) are under priced. For those you that have been here, well you already know this but for anyone that hasn’t then make a trip to Jeffersonville for a surprising comfortable/causal meal that has a taste that makes you happy because most often your going to have a take home box for the next day. The only menu item that is average is the clam pasta which in my view and the view of the friends that I’ve taken here, is a bit on the bland side. Beyond this one sin you will leave very pleased.

I’m giving this place 2 stars because the food was good. Not great, just good but that is why they get at least 2 stars. The other 3 were lost by the experience created by a staff member they have chose to represent their business. The server«Sara M.» working 7÷11÷14 around 7:30pm. From the moment she took our drink orders she made it her mission to be argumentative with us(friendly group of 4 ladies in their 50s/60s). Bourbon drinkers are not uncommon in Kentuckiana so it was not an odd request to have a shot of bourbon and a diet soda, Or Was It? To Sara M it most certainly was. She responded to my request with a big-headed catty«No you cannot mix your own drink. If you want bourbon and coke the bar tender has to mix it.» I responded and said no I want a shot and a soda. She continued to be dogmatic, almost refusing to bring me anything until I explained in vivid details how i would drink my bourbon then out of another glass would drink my soda. There is a challenge to explain the demeaning manor Sara M interacted with us threw out the visit that made me feel embarrassed to be a Indiana resident. I fear we will be judged by this cheeky server and her innate ability to damper what would have been a lovely evening walking across the Big4 with dear friends to enjoy a lovely meal. Rather SARA M. server from Come Back In did her best to shadow the evening in such a way i have wasted nearly an half an hour writing about my experience in hopes the Owners of this establishment either let her move on to a more suitable career or send her to a customer service training. I would say it is a personality flaw in her that without MUCH effort she would not be able to correct.

My daughter and I met a friend here for dinner on Friday. The atmosphere was laid back and comfortable so I look forward to making this one of my regular stops since I’m only 2 blocks away now. My daughter had an 8″ pepperoni pizza and since she loves ranch they gave her some to dip it in. She gave me a taste and it was so tangy and tasty that I want to order salad next time just to try it again. I had the special pasta which had duck and wild mushrooms in it. My friend had the hot brown and we ordered the canolli to go.
