We used to love getting China Taste to go on nights we wanted to stay in but didn’t want to cook. We had been going to a different place and decided to try China Taste again… bad choice. The food was not warm(we literally live around the corner so we were there in time!) and the flavors were not good. The fried rice has no eggs or vegetables and was very bland. We know there was an egg issue but it had not flavor! I’m not sure we will be back!

Good place for carry out but you do not want to try to eat there. I especially like their egg foo yung, not many places even have this on a menu. The service is quick and the food fresh. If I am having Chinese carry out this is my go to place even though the owner is somewhat of a character and not particularly«friendly».

Just passing through town and ordered delivery to the hotel for lunch.(Heads up-if you’re ordering delivery to a hotel, it’s cash only.) I ordered the sesame chicken lunch special which comes with pork fried rice and an order(8) of crab rangoon. Food was delivered freshly made and piping hot. Portion filled the take out box all the way up. Definitely enough rice for 2 people. Taste was average, but what had me give it 4 stars was that the restaurant included duck sauce, sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, and a couple fortune cookies without me asking for it. Delivery was fast. Food was promised in 45 minutes but arrived in 30. Decent food, fast, and cheap. Would order from them again.

I am so sorry to everyone who works with me and orders this every Saturday and Sunday, but I just do not like it and I’m astounded that my esteemed colleagues(well, okay, maybe not«esteemed», but they can read and write) would choose this over the amazing Chinese in the mall, mere minutes away! But I digress… We order for delivery at my work often, typically in 2 – 4 person orders. The order taker on the phone is not friendly or personable and its hard to determine if they got our credit card numbers right, the wait time for delivery is usually about an hour and a half for $ 15 to $ 25 worth of food and the food that I receive is always horrendous. I recently ordered bourbon chicken and friend rice, sans pork as I rarely actually consume pork products and what I received was chicken so hard and rubbery that it actually looked and tasted like overcooked pork and… pork fried rice. I called to let the staff know what happened. The guy who delivered my food answered and was extremely nice about it and asked for a picture. Of course I obliged and he said, «Well, that actually is the chicken. Its just not very good, its definitely not my favorite dish here.» I mean what can you say to that, I just kind of thought it was funny and just let the whole thing go. They offered to drive back out and bring me a new one, which was kind of them, but since I had waited so long to begin with and it was snowy I didn’t want him to risk coming back out. So I gave my meal to my friend and grabbed something out of the vending machine. Not my ideal Sunday lunch, but live and learn. I didn’t figure it’d be my last meal, and guess what, I’ve probably eaten like 100 meals since then. So overall, my coworkers actually love this place and the fried rice and sweet doughnuts are great. also the delivery driver is really friendly and is as helpful as he can be given the circumstances, so two stars it is. Although I recommend any You-A-Carry-Outa to this place any day, it seems that its worth eating for some people.

Staff is consistently rude and unwelcoming. I cannot recall even one time them thanking me for my business. Inside is DIRTY. Boxes of random who knows what in the waiting area? dining area? The food is so so. It’s not the worst. basic dishes have come out inconsistent from when previously ordered. People seems to like it but I honestly attribute that to the lack of competition in the area. I’ve lived in Louisville for 11 years and I’ve yet to find killer Chinese take out. My hubs and and I stopped going here a year ago because of the poor service and how awful the inside looked. Not to mention the food was forgettable.

As an avid lover of Chinese food and one who works on the border of Clarksville and Jeffersonville, Ind. there aren’t a whole lot of places that deliver over here due to the location. Luckily China Taste does. I’ve generally had pretty decent experiences with them as I get one of five things each time I call. The reason why I’ve given it a 3 star over a 4 or 5 is because sometimes things get lost and it’s all fun and games until I don’t have my order of crab rangoon. Did I need to eat all 8 of them in an 8 hour shift? NO! But I still like to have them when I give myself a little cheat day. If you call and complain about the food then they generally won’t do anything to credit you back for it so sometimes it can be a crap shoot ordering from them. The food is OK, not the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had but certain not the worst. On the rare occasion like I said something may be missing but that may have been because of a bad phone connection or the person taking your order on the phone was writing too fast and didn’t get it written down. Understandable, IMO. It deserves three stars and I’m obviously not going to stop ordering from them anytime soon because while it’s mediocre it fills that need for a lot of Chinese food for a decent price.

Every time I have a taste for Chinese at work, this is the place. Yeah the lady who answers the phone may come off rude but least she gets the order right. Only issue i had was that she spelled my name as Connie instead of Tommie. Food is a good price and great. Nice portion size.

Decent food and fairly quick service. Been eating there for a few years now and I love it. Their sweet and sour chicken is pretty good. Sure there might be better but we only have so much to chose from here.

If you like typical Chinese food and for a good price here it is. They have raised the prices but what place hasn’t. The hot and sour soup is good and crab Rangoon is great. The fried rice is good and I recommend the Kung Pao chicken. You probably don’t want to eat in the small area, so call ahead with your order.

Typical Chinese restaurant. Pretty good food but the service is kind of slow, and not because the workers are slow but because they are constantly getting orders. They do dine in, carry out and delivery and are non stop. That being said, most Chinese joints take forever to deliver, they are not too bad considering how huge their delivery area is. I recommend the lo mein.

It’s less than average Chinese plaza-style food. I ordered the vegetable soup, which is composed of 70% broth and a few veggies thrown in. Carrots, broccoli, cabbage(or maybe it was onion?) and water chestnuts. I asked if they would add chicken or tofu or something to the soup, but they would not add it in. Worst of all, I found a food in my hair. They REALLY need to utilize hygiene precautions here! The plus side is that they cook your food quickly. And while other reviews said the lady at the front that answered phones is mean, I found every one, and especially her, to be very polite.

Rude as hell on the phone but they are about the only gig in town that will deliver decent Chinese. I’ll keep ‘em on my list.

Standard reliable Chinese food, fresh vegetables, open late. The place is a hole in the wall with bags of rice stacked all over, and the lady on the phone isn’t very friendly, but everything I’ve gotten there(and that’s many, many orders) have been well made. Great comfort food if you’re feeling yucky, especially bc they deliver. My favorite is the happy family special, and I get vegetable soup with it. They’ll also bring sprite or whatever. Also, oddly, they seem to sell gallons of milk. It’s like a parallel universe that spits out Chinese food.

The service was brisk, the price was right, and the food was pretty darn good. Exactly what I’m looking for in a take-out Chinese place. We had three lunch specials($ 5.50 each): * General Tsos * Mongolian Beef * Beef & Broccoli all came w/pork fried rice and all were delicious. I just ate a P.F. Chang’s for the first time two days ago. I can honestly say that the food we ordered from China Taste had better flavor. My whole family enjoyed the meal and we will be going back, Lord willing.

Hmmm, how do I go about writing this review? This one is a bit hard for me. As I made my way over from work. I just wanted something fast that I could walk back to work and eat at my desk until my training started back. I won’t lie, it looked rather funky in there. But, it wasn’t enough to scare me off by any means. There were people sitting and dining in here and they seemed to be super busy. So I was hopeful that the food would be at least decent. It was good. It’s not a buffet, you order and can sit to eat or take out. They offer delivery as well according to their signage. I ordered my food and the gentleman at the cash register was super nice and helpful. I took my good back to the office and started to eat. It was tasty. Like I said I won’t lie about the taste or anything. It was good. I ordered broccoli with chicken, white rice, and an egg roll. After a couple of bites I saw something in my food. After further investigation I noticed several hairs in my rice. I was disgusted. Although tasty, I was absolutely appalled. I will never eat here again nor would I recommend it due to sanitary issues.

I was staying in town at a bed and breakfast and was really tired one night and just wanted something hot and delivered. I was hesitant to order from here because of reviews but I find the one star reviews very inaccurate. I ordered egg drop soup, steamed chicken, and pork fried rice. Everything was great and as expected. Mind you I have eaten dim sum in San Francisco and am very pick about how my egg drop soup is made and items cooked. The soup was great flavor wise and had a great amount of egg in it. The steamed chicken was great and flavor and a great portion. The rice and pork fried rice were above average. I travel frequently and really have no complaints. I thought the quality and taste were great. I also had no stomach issues which I sometimes do after eating chinese. BONUS: Delivery guy was early, nice, and polite! RARE!

Good take out. We’ve tried a lot of So. Indiana Chinese. Very good quality for quick takeout. Good prices. The shrimp dishes actually have shrimp in it unlike others on 10th street in Jeff. I’d recommend a drop in for a cheap and easy Chinese fix.

I don’t know how this happened — but this was for Youacarryoutta? We’ve not eaten here yet? I think the traumatic-stress syndrome from this experience will take me a LONG time to eat Chinese for a VERY long time to come! I read reviews on other sites like , and well, I think Brandon, our fellow Unilocaler, lucked out on his visit or delivery. My daughter and I ordered delivery last weekend as we were desperate. We just moved to the«Sunnier Side of Louisville» and we went to «delivery-a-plenty» to pizza. We were excited to see a Chinese restaurant delivering. We are vegetarians and we enjoy some Tofu Lomein in every once in a while, and we do eat seafood so crab is also a nice treat. We ended up with some kind of watery saucy chicken and sweet and sour chicken. They did get our rice correct — no pork. That was good. And we were SO hungry — we devoured it’ll, most of it. :-/Pieces of my chicken were indescribable, so I’d spit them out, because I was leery of the metal pieces commented on in another site. Lo and behold, it was just chunks of chicken that was like — I am not sure how to describe it… not burnt, but like uneatable. :-( The crab rangoon wasn’t something to rave about either, unfortunately. It was mostly cream cheese it seemed. Like some restaurants will have it taste more like a dessert, some will have it taste more like crab — this had it taste more like… well, nothing but really old oil. :-/ The serving sizes were touted on other sites too… nope. I think we were spoiled in our former glory, because this was a bite, if not a bite and half. Where we were from, if we ordered Chinese, we had it for dinner, probably lunch, and maybe depending on how hungry we were — snack/dinner the next day. :-/ This left us feeling very disappointed. And I cannot end my Unilocal without mentioning the sweet and sour sauce — it was by far the worst, most horrible sauce I’ve ever tasted and I’ve had chutney! :p lol. Skip here and cross the bridge or fix it yourself if you’re stayin at home: stir fry veggies — about 2 bucks frozen — low sodium soy sauce– maybe 3 – 4 depending on where you get it. Tofu — here for firm/extra firm is about 4 bucks– need two so about 8 bucks. Tofu noodles — package of two –about 4 bucks. So 22 bucks for an at home meal — and no MSG — no crazy metal — and if you use all your Tofu Noodles-you’ll have enough Lo-mein to FEEDANARMY! :p lol. This restaurant makes it all worth it! :-/

Awesome Chinese food. They have by far the best hot and sour soup I’ve had in Indiana. Everything I’ve eaten here is great! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! They do have tables but it’s more or less a delivery restaurant.
