Love the beer specials and friendly staff! Food is a bit pricey which is to be expected in a small town and at the base of a mtn. Menu is not very vegetarian friendly but cozy atmosphere!

Fair selection of beers — mostly commercial end. Their brown was quiet tasty. Great music. Staff was stressed out, poorly trained and defensive. Never got to taste the food…

Excellent food. Service is very slow… at least the food. Wasn’t extremely busy yet it took over an hour to get out BBQ platters. Would go back, just plan on a wait!

Awesome food, drinks and service. There was 7 of us and Mae our server was amazing! Fish and Chips, Risotto w Shrimp and the smoked ribs were the best ever. Pulled Pork Nachos were a hit for the kids and adults too. We will be back for sure

Always just what you need after whatever activity you happened to do that day. Recently I’ve enjoyed their awesome Caesar salad, salmon and crispy chicken sandwich! Burgers are good too!

Went in for wings and a couple of drinks after some skiing with my wife on a Saturday afternoon. Wings were decent but they came with one, I repeat one piece of celery and one I repeat one carrot. Also I asked for the most popular IPA beer on the menu and the waiter recommend their own Brewster IPA. He came back to our table much much later with an Otter Creek and said sorry their tap had kicked and he thought I would enjoy an Otter Creek… Hmmm he didn’t come back and ask me but made the choice himself. I would have appreciated him telling me so I could make my own choice. Maybe I hate Otter Creek beer… and yes I do, but politely drank it anyways. Lastly, when we asked for more celery and carrots for our wings he CHARGED us for it. WTF, I mean to gouge a paying customer for something that should come standard with and item is ridiculous. I must say I was disappointed with the service and probably won’t be back because of it. By the way I’m local and I feel they truly like to overcharge people(non locals) just because the are close to a Smugglers Notch. If it wasn’t for the mountain Brewster would not exist!

Being one of the only games in town, prevents this place from closing. I don’t suggest ordering anything but a big name beer. We ordered 4 different drinks which were all about the worst attempts. I don’t hold the bar tender accountable, the owner should know his/her business better than this. You’re at a well known ski hill with a namesake distillery only minutes away… bring your bartender on board and make sure they are current with popular and pertinent drinks. The food was tasty, typical bar fare. The service also pretty good. So, there you have it.

Absolutely amazing meal. Brisket meatloaf with onion straws and a cheddar ale sauce. Sides were Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. The food could rival any 5 star restaurant. Perfectly cooked. Social and friendly staff. This place is a hidden gem with an amazing chef.

As I am writing this review I am still waiting for my food. This is an hour later. Tables of people have come and gone. Not happy. Good luck. The food finally came. I think the server didn’t put our order in timely. The food was excellent. Props to the cook!

Their food is good. The burgers were good althought it was a little burned. I wont give 5 stars because it needs a little more attention in hygiene. The area that the bathroom is located smells. You can smell an unpleasant smell from the stairs. Tables are super dirty. It wasn’t busy so the servers could of cleaned up the areas.

Yum. This place definitely deserves 5 stars, especially in contrast with the aggressively mediocre and overpriced places in the Smugglers’ Notch resort. The staff was very outgoing and friendly, and we felt very much at home here. The service was a bit slow, but it seems unfair to penalize them for their own success — apparently we arrived right after a few big parties so they were pretty busy. We got the potato skins appetizer: a little oily, but as my son said, «the potato-to-cheese ratio was excellent.» Yes, he actually says things like that. The barbecue was very tasty, everything we ordered was yummy. This place definitely deserves a visit if you’re in the area.

I wish I lived here in order to try this little spot down the road from Smuggs again. The food was pretty decent but they brought one person the wrong food and the waitstaff didn’t really know their own beers well. *start beer snob rant* Unfortunately, she switched up the blonde for a saison which was also on tap – it was hazy with hints of sourness, so it had better have been the saison. *end rant* The burgers were tasty as was the deep fried brownie. Of note, the kids were able to draw on the tables with chalk as they painted them with chalkboard paint. A nice touch. So, I am chalking(sorry) this experience to just a random off night.

After a long day riding, my hunger is pretty much that of a 400 lb man and Brewster River Pub conveniently satisfied my inner Hulk. Conveniently located right outside Smuggler’s Notch resort(so close that in fact that Smugg’s shuttle indeed will pick you up and drop you off there) and offers up some tasty pub food and a nice selection of craft beer(and booze). A few hits and a few misses: — My stuffed bison burger was amazing, but overcooked. Stuffed with gouda and mushrooms, ’twas a force to be reckoned with, BUT I asked for medium and this thing was cooked well. It definitely took away from what could have been legendary. The side salad I opted for with homemade maple vinagrette was amazeballs. — My Big Kahuna consisting of a patty topped with pulled pork, grilled pineapple and maple BBQ sauce was a bit of a let down. Similar to the bison burger, medium turned to well done and it was actually just not as many contrasting flavors as one would hope for. I tasted all sauce, no pineapple, or pork for that matter. Too much, if you ask me. Fries were sparse and decent. Prices were solid, service was ok, food was dece and beer was flowing. Not the best pub grub, but you know what? It served its purpose and I’d go back again and again.

Cool littl pub right down the road from Smuggler’s Notch Resort. We stayed at Smuggs for a long weekend of skiing and visited the pub twice for takeout. The food was all very fresh and well made. Orders were correct and ready when we arrived for pickup. We got the grilled chicken, which was really very good. The Pulled pork was just ok and the roll was soggy, but in fairness, that may have been because of the takeout. The pub was very bussy on Friday night and there was a live band playing upstair in the bar area. People were dancing and having a good time. Next time we will go in for dinner.

Solid 4.5 stars from me for Brewster River Pub & Grill. Located ¼ of a mile from Smugglers’ Notch Resort, Brewster is a warm and cozy bar/restaurant serving some of the best homemade farm/table pub dishes I’ve had in a long time, from their apps straight through coffee and dessert(decent craft beer selection too!). Having eaten at the Smuggs resort and at a few other restaurants in the area, I would pick this place as my #1 choice for dinner on my next trip up(assuming we can get a seat!). Recommend getting there by 5:00 for dinner. Ordered at our table, and all of which received extremely high praise, were Chicken Wings, a BBQ Half Chicken(with cornbread), Chef’s Risotto, Char-Grilled Pub Burger and Vermont Grilled Cheese. For dessert, a few of us ordered their ice cream sundae which included delicious vanilla ice cream, candied walnuts, an awesome maple syrup, topped off with whipped cream and a bourbon soaked cherry! I don’t recall ever having had such a delicious sundae(go Vermont!!!). Coffee was great too! They have a creative burger menu if that’s your thing, including one with fresh ground bison and«The Godzilla,» which would be a meat lover’s dream. Had it not been for a few glitches with the service, I’d definitely rate Brewster a 5. Our waitress in particular didn’t seem happy that we asked to sit away from the front door(very cold this time of year as it opens and closes), took our orders(6) without writing them down and subsequently made an error on one, and didn’t bring cream and sugar out with our coffee(nor did she seem to care when another server mentioned it). Crimes of the century, no, but these details matter to the customer. Having said that, everyone else running food and condiments seemed awesome and we will definitely return!

I wanna rent four helicopters and some big ass chains. Hook the chains at the corners of the Brewster property and attach them to the helicopters. Then I’ll airlift Brewsters out of Vermont and fly it back here to Virginia, conveniently dropping it next door just so I can eat and drink here everyday. The first night I had the Pulled Pork BBQ Mac and Cheese. I never order Mac and Cheese as an entrée. You know, since I’m not 7. But I didn’t regret it from a moment. The smokey goodness of bbq pulled pork was in every bight and the loads of cheese and the breaded crust just blended so well together it was a ravishingly good experience. The next morning I had the Godzilla Burger. It had a fried egg on it so that’s pretty much breakfast in my book. Everything, from the patty, toppings, to the fries on the side, was well prepared. It filled me up well for a day of celebrations. Definitely a must-come spot if you are in the area, especially if you’re staying at Smugglers Notch Resort which is right next door.

Awesome pub! Go there and get the teriyaki duck wings as soon as possible… You really can’t go wrong with food here because everything is done well. Nachos, wings, steaks, burgers, daily flatbreads, soups, specials etc. They have a pool table, and an outside deck. Not many great options for food in the area, but Brewski is one. Literally ¼ mile from Smuggs on the right.
