Worst Popeye’s I’ve been to… the people there don’t seem to take their job very seriously! I waited about 3 minutes in the drive thru before someone answered and then he asked me to hang on! Tried to order a couple of chicken meals but he said they only had one piece left! Asked him how long before they would have more and he told me 25 minutes! This is a chicken place, right!

In a world where fine dining is rapidly disappearing, we have this one shining light amongst the darkness, a small glimmer of hope for ourselves and our great nation: Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen at 3004 Jefferson Highway. I would sacrifice my first born child for a biscuit from Popeyes. I would chop off my own leg for a SMALL red beans and rice. If I could eat here every meal for the rest of my life, I would die at the ripe young age of 24, but I would have TRULY LIVED.

Went to the drive thru at 10:15pm and all they had was mild legs. The store doesn’t close for another 45 minutes and they are just too lazy to cook chicken. The customer service is horrible at best. Personally I think they need to fire the night manager and drive thru worker for being too lazy. I suggest you avoid this Popeyes if possible.

I love popeyes chicken. I grew up eating it and it may be the ultimate comfort food.
The spicy chicken is the best fried chicken you will find at a chain and better than most restauraunts. The batter fries so crispy it l and the skin is so decadently good. The chicken strips are also great and equally tempting. The sauce options for the strips are enticing. The side options all good. The fries, though frozen, are well seasoned and great as long as you eat them hot. Cold they are terrible. The gravy for the mashed potatoes is the best gravy I’ve had at any fast food place or chain restaurant. You can see all of the bits of flavorful goodness and the mashed potatoes are yummy for what they are. The red beans are creamy and so good, but they never get the bean to rice ratio right. The dirty rice is usually moist and flavorful. The coleslaw is good but with the other options available, why bother. The buttermilk biscuits cannot be rivaled by any other restaurant. Try them with honey for a next level glutton experience.
This particular popeyes has good food but they always leave things out of your order if you go through the drive through. If you double check every time, it’s a great place it grab some food on the go. If you get strips or anything with sauce, just make sure it is in the bag! They forget it 90% of the time. Ask for napkins, plastic forks, etc.
The apple pies are actually fried! Thus, they are crispy and far better than Mcdonalds are now that they bake theirs. The pies are rolled in cinnamon sugar and the apples taste fresh. I am addicted and they are a big motivator for me to choose Popeyes for dinner.

This review is for lunchtime service only. The staff was fast and friendly which was a welcome change from most other Popeyes in the area. I went in the drive thru and was away with my order in minutes even though there was a line. My food was hot and I had napkins in the bag. Impressive! It was a good experience, and although I don’t go to Popeyes often I’ll go here again for the lunch in the future.

Reviewing chain restaurants is always difficult. What makes this Popeye’s stand out from the others? They all have the same cheap fried chicken, the same specials, the same recipes. This location has two advantages: it’s brand new and the staff is actually courteous and helpful.

I saw that this Popeyes opened up where the old furniture store used to be. I decided to give it a try.
It was like every other Popeye’s restaurant I have been to. Basically fast food chicken for dirt cheap prices. With one important difference, it had good customer service. The lady behind the counter was not only friendly but incredibly flirtatious as well. I actually think that is a good thing because it help give me a boost to my self confidence.
When I was here I got the 11 piece because it was on sale for $ 11.99. They have all kinds of other deals going on right now as well.
In short quick, cheap food and good customer service.
