The food is better than many places across town especially dishes that use shrimp… the shrimp are not the orange pinkish shrimp they use big real shrimp which is a plus for me the staff is pleasant and the food is good the place is always clean. There is always somewhere to sit maybe because everyone orders takeout so im extra happy with that;)

I’ve have only eaten take out from here so I cannot really speak to the ambience or the waitstaff. However, what I can say is that compared to a few other chinese places I have had around the city that are supposed to be «better» or perhaps just look more polished, this place is the best. The food is 4⁄5 stars in my opinion, taking into account what it is, which is really, really well priced, fast food Chinese(not health food, not fine dining, no frills). Large portions, delicious food, well priced. Try the orange chicken!

It’s close to Ochsner Pretty cheap typical fast food chinese food. not amazing, not bad. Love the crab rangoons recommend if you’re picking up food to go and you’re near ochsner(on the way home, on the way there, eating at the hospital) probably have had their food 10x

Best eats in easy walking distance of Ochsner. They’re one of the older«Generic Dragon» Chinese places around here.

Nope. Nope. Nope. I happened to try this one day when I had about 45 minutes to kill and happened to be in the area. No cars in the parking lot usually means it’s not going to go well. This was one of those times. I walked in and there was a table of Asian people(Well that’s a great sign, right?). When they saw me, they all slowly got up and went into the kitchen. Oops. That was the staff. With great trepidation and not enough time to go elsewhere, I put in my order. While I stood by the chair(Wasn’t about to sit in that nasty thing.) and waited(a looong wait) a couple came in. Neither of them ordered first. Both looked at me… then asked if I’d give them some money. WTF? I tried to be polite and told them I only had a credit card. The women then asked if I would buy her lunch. Double WTF!?? Um., No. They turned around and left. The entire time the woman at the counter just watches and didn’t say a word. I’m guessing that happens often. I finally got my food and left, Despite everything I still went to eat the food. I’ve never seen Mongolian beef that was orange. First bite told me it wasn’t what I ordered and I could not tell you what it was supposed to be by taste. I’m not completely convinced it WAS Chinese food. I’m not even completely convinced it was food. After reading about it having one of the worst Health department records in the area, it makes more sense. But how do you stay in business with that bad a score and that terribly a level of food?

Food is decent and the prices are great. The cleanliness leaves a little something to be desired, but for a lunch spot or if you just want to grab carryout I think it is a good value.

I used to live by this place. I only went there a few times but I noticed that they were never consistent with the food or even the service. I guess its alright for all those nurses and doctors at the hospital but just not for me. There are better chinese restaurants in the city trust me.

I live around the corner from this restaurant. It has been there since what seems like forever. Whenever we are hungry and tired and do not feel like going out or cooking, or if I am in a big hurry, we order some food from here. It is your typical Chinese place. Quality is decent. Décor is nothing to write about. Sometimes the place smells a bit like cleaning solution. I never eat here but know quite a few people that have and like it. It is very close to Ochsner Hospital and a lot of the nurses and staff come here for lunch. At night, it is always pretty empty, which could account for that smell I am talking about. Maybe they start cleaning the floors at night when I go in to pick up my food. The service is always pretty snappy and served with a smile. I like this place and I try to sponsor it when I can. If you are looking for some quick, inexpensive Chinese food this place will fit the bill.
