We just stayed at this hotel this past weekend for a softball tournament. The inside was almost 80 degrees and extremely humid. The outlets were hanging out of the wall in some of our teams rooms. Our sink would not drain. The furniture looks like something out of the 80’s and has not been updated since. Breakfast was disgusting with powdered eggs and milk actually in a jug to serve yourself. Not sanitary what so ever. Not to mention the skunk that got in over night and made itself at home in the pool table. That was the only night we stayed at the hotel and checked out as fast as we could. I can honestly say this was one of the worst hotels I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. Do yourself a favor and don’t book a room here. The owners were also rude and not taking responsibility for any of the issues we were having.

This place is nasty and stinks bad. I had my dog here and I don’t thank she even cared for it. Breakfast wasn’t even a breakfast I tried a bit of everything that was on the bar and didn’t taste good at at all. It doesn’t deserve a a stare. Stay away please.

This is no longer a Ramada. I don’t know when it changed over, but it has been a while and for some reason Unilocal said they shouldn’t actually change it on here. The actual name is now the Jasper Inn and the website is . I recently stayed here on a Saturday night for just one night. It was one of the cheaper options in the area, so I’ll keep that in mind for the review. First of all, it is not near as bad as the 1 star Unilocal review suggests. TripAdvisor has it as a 3 star place with 70 reviews, and I think that seems a little more appropriate(their website has an unlinked picture of the TripAdvisor logo and says that it is a 5 star place, definitely not the case and a pretty shady business practice to lie on your homepage). I think that for the cheaper option in the area though, it pretty much lives up to what your expectations should be. It’s a little bit of a weird place in that it is absolutely enormous, especially for being in Jasper Indiana, and I’m pretty sure we were one of only about 10 cars in the parking lot that Saturday evening, which looked designed to hold hundreds. I don’t know where they get their business from that keeps them afloat, but it certainly wasn’t happening for them at that time. It looks like there are a lot of rooms in different sections of the hotel that have outdoor entrances, but ours was inside the main area and the door opened up into the huge central domed space. That space includes a pool, arcade room, billiards, a little pizza place, a hot tub, putt-putt, and lots of open areas with seating. The rooms in the main building all surround this large domed area and have floor to ceiling windows that look out onto it. I have a feeling that this is the kind of place that will be full during the summer and school breaks with southern Indiana families whose idea of a vacation is to rent a room here for a few nights and let the kids go wild in the pool/arcade area while the parents sit in the hot tub. To each their own, but it seems like it would not be a place I would enjoy if that were the case. The hotel has a unique smell to it. I don’t think it was offensive, but it was very noticeable and stuck around on our clothes that were out overnight. It might be the result of the battle between the cleaning supplies and the mildew in the very humid space. The room wasn’t any better, and had the same scent with a slight reminder that this place was probably at one point a smoking room. It could have been a residual smell from all the way back to the 80s, because the carpet and most other things in there all looked like they have been there for at least 30 years. The room seemed clean to me, but it had certainly seen better days from a furniture/walls/trim/amenities standpoint, and could use some upgrades to compete room-wise with the more recent hotel additions to the area. The bed wasn’t very comfy at all(unless you are into feeling springs in your back all night), the furniture was starting to fall apart, the lamp didn’t work, and the the light switches and thermostat looked like they were from the 50s. They did, however, have an updated TV, We didn’t check out the continental breakfast at all, but there was one. The check-in process for our reservation was simple, the ladies at the front were nice, and they had a lot of info on different things to do in the area. They have a huge parking lot, and the hotel is very easy to get to. It didn’t look like there were a lot of food options in the immediate vicinity, as it is mostly surrounded by auto dealerships. Basically, the value here comes to those who happen to need a hotel where you can entertain children more so than a hotel with a comfortable and updated room. If that is the case, then this is certainly a good place to book a room. If not, I’d recommend spending a little more and looking elsewhere, where they can put more time and resources into the room instead of the entertainment area. Not that we looked into it at all, but they do advertise it as a conference center, so that may be another benefit worth looking here for aside from just a room to sleep in. It’s not bad, but it is different and caters to a specific clientele that I just don’t fit the category for.

If I could give them a negative rating I would this place is horrible we had enjoyed our day at Holiday World only to arrive here to a room that’s stunk of mildew we also had counted over 14 flies in our room half of those were dead and stuck to the curtains and the walls they wanted to tell us that we brought the flies in our self and that they didn’t smell anything wrong we also had dried blood smeared on the wall and our ice bucket was filthy when I turned the lid over I could literally scratch my name in the crud that was stuck to the top of the lid… the toilet leaked so therefore when we went to stand up to get up from the toilet and we slipped in the water and fell back down we were told that we did that our self. and they’ve never had any problems and I just read other reviews and apparently they have had problems so they were lying to us. I took pictures and I also had a video recording going when they barged into my room with their card key demanding to see the bugs only then to tell me I brought them in myself and that we needed to get our things and get the hell out of there that’s what they told us and not to ever come back believe me we will never go back… I have never had the experience in my entire life that I did with this place I will make it my goal for everyone to know that Jasper Inn is a horrible hotel it’s dirty and bug filled smells horrible and management does not care about anything… it was dirty unclean they didn’t even offer a comforter. thank goodness I bring my own towels and blankets and sheets when I go places for incidences just like this where you get a hotel who is extremely nasty nasty nasty and the Rude owners and staff were rude and mean I will make it my goal that everyone knows that this place is horrible this is only the beginning of my complaining you have no idea how ticked off I am that I had to paid you money to be miserable!!!

I would give this hotel a negative review if I could. In the past years, this hotel has impressed me. Recently, a new owner has taken over and the place has really gone downhill.(Constant leaks, messes, wifi problems, and gross, expired food) Their phones in the rooms do not work, and they no longer offer room service. On top of all of that, the management will let kids run around at night causing problems. At about 11:15 they shut ALL of the lights off– safety hazard– I consider finding another hotel

We stayed the night before a wedding. The entire hotel smells of mildew. Our hotel room was disgusting, everything was outdated, and it smelled. They wouldn’t refund our $. The coke in the machine was expired and they didn’t care. This hotel used to be a beautiful place and has been a part of Jasper. This place needs to be demolished. It is the most disgusting place I’ve stayed at. Stay away!

This place was horrible. The smoke free room smelled like smoke, the bed and pillows were absolutely uncomfortable, the room was really dirty, and the shower didn’t drain. Never again will we stay here.

Not happy with the new take over by Ramada. We have stayed her countless times. But this time the name has changed and the service too. Our room had just sprayed for bugs and smelled awful. No towels, no toilet paper, no cups, no tv remote and the volume on tv is broken. Also half of channels didn’t come in. Not impressed.

Horrible bed. Noisy air conditioning. I have never stayed at any hotel that had shaky bed with broken headboard. There was also bug on the ceiling.
