Pick ‘n Save – Janesville

Nice selection of rotting produce and expiring meat. Recently we bought a pastry baked «fresh every» day that had fruit flies in it. Since we always have to go elsewhere for produce and meat anyway we are done with this place.

Great place to shop! With all of our traveling I don’t go to the store much, but when I do Pick n Save fits the bill! So simple to find what I need and get out! Prices seem more then fair and checking out is so simple! Thanks for a great shopping experiance!

This is my favorite grocery store.
Its HUGE and has a great selection.
The prices are more than reasonable and the people who work there wear uniforms and are very nice.

My husband and I needed to pick up some pies for a party we were going to in the neighborhood a couple weeks ago. Of all the grocery stores that showed up on Unilocal for this area, the only non-​specialty ones we found were WalMart and Pick N Save. We came here.
I’ve never been to a Pick N Save, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was actually impressed! If you’re familiar with Mariano’s (another chain of stores with the Roundy’s brand in Illinois), this store is almost like Mariano’s. The employees are dressed nice with black ties, the prices are excellent, they have plenty of organic and meatless options, and the store itself is spacious & clean. There’s also a small café area off to the side with cafeteria-​style seating and a couple spaces for other businesses including a bank and a hair salon.
The layout of the store was a bit weird: all the frozen foods were in the middle of the store, the vegetables were in an area off the back, and things were spread out in different directions. I’m sure there was some logic behind it, but I got a little bit lost.
Thankfully, they had large signs with awesome phrases to identify each section:
— Roses are red (flowers)
— Say cheese (cheese)
— Greetings (cards)
— Thirsty? (drinks)
— We’re grilling (meats)
— Just like mom’s (baked items)
— Sliced to order (deli)
— Eat your veggies (produce)
— Bring home the bacon (more meat)

… just to name a few. I got a kick out of that.
After strolling around & admiring the store, we picked up some $ 5 pies, quickly went through the line, and were on our way. Those pies sure were delicious!
