I had six sessions with Suzan White. She was great and I loved her at the time. However my biggest issue is a problem with a parent. My mother left me when I was 14 for a man in Florida. This issue was treated as a minor mother daughter squam. When I said that I was abandoned, Susan brushed it off and said I could have moved with her.
I also wasn’t very happy with the small talk and her tendency to talk about herself.
After being with a different counselor that tackles my biggest issue every session I don’t know how I ever thought Suzan was great in the first place. She is an incredibly nice lady but the sessions seemed rushed and danced around the real issues.
I did not like that at all.
I am grateful for some of the things we’ve talked about but it is just nice to talk to a counselor that will help me solve my REAL problems and not talk about frivolous issues.
