Service was exceptional and Justin was extremely helpful with giving us information on future plans. Had the japleno dip, which was amazing and served with homemade chips that were not greasy and were the perfect vehicle for the creamy dip. We also tried the buffalo and grilled chicken burgers on oretzle buns with a side of grilled veggies. The burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly and the veggies were some of the best grilled vegetables I have ever eaten. Will definitely be back and look forward to when they serve their own brew.

This place seems like it’s still getting up and running but it’s pretty good. The service was a little slow since there were only 2 servers but our server was very nice and gave us good food suggestions. We ordered the jalapeño dip on her recommendedation. It came with really good tortilla chips that I think were homemade. The dip has TONS of jalapeños — definitely spicy but tasty too. I asked for my burger to be cooked medium and it was pretty well done and could have used a little more seasoning but the toppings made up for it. It came with mushrooms, Swiss cheese, grilled onions and lots of sliced avocado. Also the sweet potato fries were crisp and yummy. The place looks a little gray and industrial inside and they aren’t brewing their own beer but our server said that would be happening soon.

Jamul is one of the country/ranch towns I love. I would prefer they just call themselves a tap house because they don’t brew there and I didn’t see jamul brewing company on their beer list. We came here hoping for a brewery, and stayed for some other craft beers and food anyway. The staff is really attentive and nice. They have TVs for sports. The staff was sweet enough to change a TV to cartoons for some friends that showed up later. I ordered some onion rings, which were amazing. I would come back for food and service!

Formerly known as Reno’s, Jamul Town Brewery and Tap is not only sporting a new menu, but also provided some nice local and out of town beers with more to come I have been told. I came in during happy hours, sat at the bar and order the Village Pilsner and the BBQ Western Burger medium rare with a side of sweet potato fries for $ 11. The burger came with onions rings, bacon, and cheddar with a touch of sweet BBQ sauce( ). I had a choice of buns, but I went for the pretzel bun which not only looked great on the burger, but tasted great with and had a nice chewy moist texture( ). The burger’s half pound patty was medium rare as I requested, juicy, and had a real good natural beef flavor( ). The bacon was crisp and tasty and the lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and pickles were fresh and flavorful. All around, just one good burger. The sweet potato fries were quite good. I like that they came sprinkled with coarse salt and were crispy on the outside, yet tender and tasty on the inside(See). I have to say they were very well executed. The Village pils was refreshing with a light flavor as I expected( ). Service was good at the bar. They do not have a happy hour eats menu, but it’s coming soon. Hopefully in time for football season, but they do have drink specials from 3 pm to 6 pm, $ 1 off drafts…
