LOVELOVELOVE me some wine and cheese and this place did not disappoint for me! The wine selection is fantastic and I even found a bottle I had been looking for. The cheese selection looks delish and I would def try some for a dinner party or event I was heading to in the area… gorgeous views of the bridge!

Awesome wine selection, but ask for the AMAZING chocolate truffles that they have behind the counter. They are amazing!!! Their bean and corn salsa is also something that is extremely crave-worthy!!! A definite visit!

Love to walk here when I’m visiting my parents and grab a decent bottle of wine for dinner. They fit a lot of wine, liquor and beer into a small space… their selections and price range are pretty broad, so there’s definitely something for everyone. Everything is a bit expensive comparatively speaking, but this IS Jamestown, after all, and there’s only one other liquor store option so they can afford to be. Some really high-end wines behind the counter to cater to all the owners of the massive yachts docked out back, I suppose, but the average Jtowner can still grab some Gansetts. Nice cheese selection! Friendly staff.

If you’re looking for a nice bottle of wine to go with the stinky cheese you just picked up, G & G is the place for you… They have a «gourmet» food section and sell wine/beer/liquor. Prices are a little high, but not rip-off high. Ferry wharf is a neat little place — G&G is next to our real estate agent’s office, which is next to the local ice cream place. So, if you’re looking to get drunk with your realtor then share a banana split in Jamestown, this is the ideal location. PS — a few doors down is the Harbor Master’s office, which was used in as the bookstore in Dan in Real Life.

A store that sells both booze and food. I don’t know how exactly gourmet the food is, I think speciality food would be a better description, but make no mistake about it this place is as yuppie as it gets. That’s all right because this is a very cool store. It’s located right on East Ferry Wharf in Jamestown which means it has fantastic views of east passage Narragansett Bay, Newport, and the Pell Bridge. I don’t know squat about wine or fancy booze but some of the bottles look impressive. I do know for a small store they have a nice selection of fancy foreign beers. Real good stuff. They also have a whole case of speciality cheese. I’m not big on fancy cheese but I’m I’m sure they have some that stink like hell. They also have some neat foods that I would actually eat like soups, smoked salmon and cute little cake like things. I can’t remember what the woman called the pastries but they were obviously very caloric and very tasty. Beside all the booze and food they also had some kitchen utensils like cheese graters and rutabaga peelers. Other strange looking things that only a gourmet chief or a real yuppie would identify. I sure as hell didn’t know what they were used for. They also had some cool looking ceramics things. The woman inside the store was extremely nice and patient as she tried to answer our stupid questions. I’m sure her usual costumers were a bit more sophisticated than 3 idiots showing up in wetsuits. Obviously I was out of my element in such a place but I did enjoy the Guinness beer and the chocolate cakes. Maybe next time I’ll buy one of those rutabaga peelers.
