What little part of my Super Bowl Sunday was not spent on the road was at Fresco. We were only one of three parties in the whole institution, but Fresco could accommodate a good-sized tailgate party if necessary. The TV projection on the wall on which we watched the kickoff can be seen from the bar, and there are a few other modestly-sized screens to complement it. The menu is a mish-mash of various all-American favorites: pizza(deep-dish, stuffed), wings, ribs, pasta, burgers, sub sandwiches, etc., etc. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating for us, splitting the checks at the end without a fuss. Portion sizes — they’re pretty big. Your pizza is your standard pizza, but my goodness, never have I ever seen a side salad in a bowl the same diameter as a pizza pan. That’s real bang for your buck, if not your stomach(because… salad). I split a ½ Slab Rib Dinner and 20 Chicken Wings with a friend and we both left very full. The ribs themselves are probably 2 – 3 stars, flavorful enough to satisfy your cravings but not moist and tender like you might get down South. Fries are standard. We were only able to split our wings into two flavors, but next time I might just get a full order of Hickory Smoked BBQ wings because those were deeeelicious. The Cajun wings were dry rubbed(although you have the option to have them pre-sauced) and not too impressive, and we ended up having to get cups of hot sauce on the side to dip them in. Everyone else was VERY satisfied with their pizza, and few take-home boxes were needed. The bathrooms are located behind the folding screens. They’re kept fairly clean, but again, there weren’t that many people to make a mess. There are few other options on the way from Ellicottville back to the Midwest, but I’d come again for a solid, no-fuss meal and quick-service.

A short walk down the hill from the Lucille Ball Dezi Arnez Museum, you know you’ve arrived when you see the signs in the window boasting«best pizza in Jamestown». The menu features your typical pizzeria style menu and wings but with one pleasant exception… they use homemade pasta. On the waiter’s recommendation, I ordered the lasagna. Kudos to the Waiter! The lasagna is fabulous… and a HUGE portion and comes with 2 bread sticks, no sides — you won’t need them, the lasagna portion is huge and very reasonably priced. My waiter was very courteous, friendly and attentive but not over-bearing and had an excellent knowledge of the menu. They also have a wide variety of beer, including a couple of beers brewed locally. The restaurant is huge with high ceilings and clean. The bar area is off to the left when you walk in with table seating off to the right. I would think things could get quite noisy when the place if full, but during the middle of the week, it was quiet with about 50% of the bar full and a few tables. I’ll definitely eat here again if I get back to the area.

Fresco’s is one of downtown’s newest restaurants(within the past year as of 10÷7÷15). They specialize in pizza and wings, but their calzones are where its at. The wait time can be quite slow but the food quality is really good. Also there seems to be a revolving door of servers there so far. I have yet to encounter anyone a second time. The ambiance is a little weird. The restaurant architecture is a beautiful space but it is decorated kind of tacky with vinyl table cloths, neon lights, and fluorescent ceiling lighting. It isn’t very inviting, but you can’t argue with a pizza or calzone the size of a spare tire! Did I mention the calzones are awesome?

Definitely one of the nicer restaurants in Jamestown. The facility is very spacious, has two large TV screens, a nice bar area, and it is kept clean. The food is very good, except I actually haven’t had the pizza yet! I’ve enjoyed a few of their wraps — you can’t go wrong with any of them. The only negative is that fries have to be purchased on the side. Their salads are also good — I really enjoyed their antipasto salad. The waitresses are also very kind.

Great pizza and wings! A «must visit» for visitors from out of town. We had the Nightmare Pizza and Cajon wings. Friendly staff.

We went to this restaurant during the Lucy comedy Festival on Saturday night. We had not been able to get into any other restaurant because they were all booked up. We «stumbled“upon Frescos since it was not on the hotels listed restaurants or on the little pamphlet with the names of restaurants in Jamestown. This may be the reason the restaurant was not crowded at all. Too bad because it’s certainly deserved to be full of customers! We had a super pizza, nice spaghetti with meatballs and great breadsticks! Highly recommend it!

We stopped into this restaurant at 8:30 tonight for some pizza. We waited almost 5 minutes to be seated and when the waiter finally came, he said, «oh so you’re coming in right before close?» He wasn’t being jovial but was angry and never cracked a smile. There were three others tables of people eating or waiting for food. We asked if he’d like us to go somewhere else. He said no, asked how many people we had, and seemed very annoyed when I told him 6. Then he walked over to a table and sat menus down, then set up our table somewhere else and then asked if the group was almost there very evidently trying to rush us. We said«they are walking in the door.» We asked again if he wanted us to leave. He said no, grudgingly. When we all got seated we realized we had 7 instead of 6 and he angrily and bitterly pointed out that we were wrong, «you told me 6, but you had 7. If you would have told me 7 I would have had enough silverware and menus.» We apologized. Then he asked for our drink orders and when our friend asked for coffee(which is not unheard of in a restaurant in the evening!) he said, «I’d have to make it.» This was not an «I’m sorry, it will take a minute» but an «I don’t want to make it because it’s inconvenient.» She changed her order to water. He did nothing but give us dirty looks, short responses, and bitter service. He was the rudest waiter I have EVER encountered. Sadly, it makes me not want to go to this establishment again. At that point, we simply said, «sir, we’re going to go somewhere else because we don’t want to interfere with your schedule and your closing in half an hour. It’s evident you want us to leave, so have a good night.» We went to Friendly’s and actually had friendly service. It is a sad day when a restaurant employee values his job and the establishment so little that he can shove business out the door. A closing time of 9pm is early enough, but the sign on the door should say we won’t serve you past 8:30 so don’t bother. Pizza shouldn’t take very long and besides that, when we nicely asked if it was a problem for us to come in he should have said it was if he was going to treat us so rudely. For this, my review of this restaurant is 1 star. I wouldn’t try going there if I were you. It was an uncomfortable situation that I wouldn’t wish on anyone else.

Stopped in for lunch en route back to Long Island. The pizza was as good as any you’ll find in «New Yawk» or «Brook-a-leen». Our waitress was very attentive and it was an altogether excellent lunch and reasonably priced too. Just watch the parking meters(is Jamestown trying to chase business away?)

I’m going to rate higher than the other local pizzas. First time we tried this place and were very happy. The restaurant was nice and large, clean, with a classy décor for a pizza place. They have nice areas for large groups. Breadsticks were awesome and came with sauce and cheese. We had our typical ham and cheese pizza which was excellent and the Chicago white pizza which was also very good. The garlic Parmesan wings were good if you like that type of thing. Price point was excellent and waitresses were wonderful. Probably would be my first choice in Jamestown.

We stopped in on a cold and icy day and found a pleasant surprise! We ordered the Chicago White pizza with black olives, onion, mushroom, banana pepper, Romano & mozzarella cheese. YUM! We can’t wait to go back to try the wings, calzones, pasta, ribs, steakburgers, subs, wraps or salads!
