Busy place, be prepared to wait to get seated, wait to get your order taken, and wait for your food. Food arrived about an hour after being seated… Portions are huge, food was typical American style food. Not a lot of seasoning or super flavors.

The best Rueben Sandwich I’ve ever found. I like to try the Rueben where ever I go. Glad that the best is only a short drive for me! Oh and if they gave lemon meringue pie, get it!
Take cash with you or you’ll be Ruben everywhere to find an ATM (at the BP on hey 6).

I love the country cupboard! When i moved to california in 2009 i missed all thr good home cooked food and delish pies! Whenever i visit family i always make sure we go to the country cupboard. I love love love their bread along with the sweet butter (how do they make this?!!) i personally love their tenderloins and chicken fried steak. The lemon pie is my favorite one by far. I wish they could send me a pie just especially for me. But when your in the area definitely go. Its got friendly staff and is cozy and everyone knows each other.

Worlds best apple cobbler –crust is like a pie and apples are firm and tangy mixed with just a handsome amount of cinnamon. This is a true blue country diner. I had the country fried chicken and my daughter had the roast beef dinner. Both had their uniqueness, both were lean and nummy. No matter whether you choose white gravy or brown gravy –your at grandma’s.

Remember when I could get a meal for $ 5? The Country Cupbard does. I don’t think I’ve every gotten such big portions for such little money. Even the small pork tenderloin sandwich with fries was more than I could eat! Just your traditional American diner fare, but you know it’s going to be good, when the place is packed with locals!
