Absolutely horrible customer service. Rude staff that makes mistakes. Their wine is not even that good, and is definitely not worth the nasty attitude you will get, especially if you arrive closer to their closing time. They rush you out and are so rude about it. Save yourself the drama go to some of the other beautiful wineries!

Always have an amazing time here. Their hospitality and the warm atmosphere is second to none. I first went here for a groupon and over the course of three years I have visited several times with various family and friends. I really enjoy and plan to return in a few weeks.

I visited for the first time on Saturday, 11⁄16. What a cool place! The place was packed with a generally youthful crowd. Despite that, the musical act was playing Dylan, the Beatles and 60s /70s. Guess they know which demo has the $$$$$. I liked«my music». You can stroll the beautiful grounds and they let you bring your own food. My lovely and I enjoyed tasting all of their wines($ 13.00). The Estate Chardonnay and the Cabernet Franc were amazing! The servers were friendly, cheerful and helpful, explaining all the wines. I have been told that they are open all winter with music on Saturdays. What a nice cure for cabin fever if the weather permits. I will definitely return to Clovis Point Winery again soon.

I will never go here again and urge all others not to support this business. We traveled here yesterday as a group of 12 adult couples 41 – 52 years old. I feel we did the resposible thing and travelled from Smithtown via charter bus. As soon as we arrived we were told we had to leave since we arrived by bus and no one would be allowed to enter from the bus. After much pleading with one of the employees to no avail we left and headed to Palmer Vineyards. I can’t believe we were singled out solely for arriving by bus. I will add that this was our second stop of the day and no one was disrespectful or intoxicated. We were all just looking for an enjoyable day out east with good friends.

The white wines were one of the best I had from long island ! Truly amazing, and I absolutely loved it. Great property and the inside is beautiful as well. However, a rude person at the bar can ruin the entire experience.

Nice wines. Limited flights and glass pours have become smaller over the years. Even for members.

Great service and wine. They allowed us to picnic with the kids even though they typically do not allow outside food. During our tasting, the pourer was friendly and knowledgeable and the manager took 4 kids out back with a ball so we could enjoy adult time. The space is very nice and clean. We loved it so much we became wine members so have an excuse to return!

I make one trip to the North Shore every year and look forward to a day of music and wine. We’ve been to a few different wineries and have always had a good time but wanted to try something new so this year I decided to take my family to Clovis. Upon arriving early at 12:15 we were promptly met by a manager who told us, with an attitude, that we needed to move our cars. In addition, he told us that the space we took up with two cars was space four cars could park in. Confused? We were too. Move our cars closer or move our cars? Not sure. So we moved our cars but before we could move he looks into our trunk and says«coolers are not allowed». We never had any intention of bringing our cooler. As we are all college graduates with the ability to read signs we knew coolers are not allowed at Clovis Point. We did go in despite the rude welcome and enjoyed the wine and music. Next year Jamesport will welcome us with open arms and we’ll be more than happy to spend our money there. Without worrying about where or how we park.

I’ve been to Clovis Point a few times(spring and fall months) and have always had a great experience. The ambiance and décor is beautiful, rustic, and typical of a winery. The property is immaculate inside and out. The wines are generally very good and the tasting room is spacious enough for big groups to comfortably enjoy their flights. The service is top notch and the staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. After you’re done tasting, you can sit outside or on the patio and enjoy your wine and the scenery. They have wine barrel tables outside overlooking the grounds as well as tables and chairs on the patio. I love the live music and how friendly everyone is. Also, you can order cheese platters and things there or you can bring your own food/snacks which is definitely a plus. The only thing I don’t particularly care for is that they don’t wash or give you new wine glasses in between each tasting. Not a deal breaker though, I understand that can be a bit much given the volume of customers they have. Clovis Point is a bit far out for me but it’s definitely worth the trip. It’s a wonderful place and a great way to spend the afternoon.

Complex wines and a broad selection of varietals(one of the few wineries to produce Malbec on LI), they offer wines to suit nearly every price point. The staff is caring and knowledgeable, there is plenty of room for everyone to move about and the grounds are beautiful and carefully maintained. It is one of the wineries on my short list when I head out east.

The weather happened to be a beautiful spring day and my group and I shared a wonderful Sunday afternoon at this location. So much nicer then those commercial large vineyards to visit. Very charming and friendly service, generous portions and very enjoyable reds. Would highly recommend

Price was just a tiny bit over for me. $ 11 for 4 on the flight but the manager stopped in and gave us an extra drink which we actually bought the bottle for. The vineyard is beautiful and if recommend stopping in.

Clovis Point is one of the lesser known vineyards on the North Fork due to smaller production, but their wines are pretty good and worth the stop. I particularly like the location, towards the beginning of wine country, in the event you don’t want to go all the way out or dealing with a lot of traffic. Be Aware that as of the last time I checked, they don’t allow limos. The grounds are very beautiful and we’ll maintained. The tasting room is a pretty good size, with a large enough staff to not keep you waiting for very long. Everyone was very friendly and personable. They have a heated patio for when the weather is a bit chilly, so you can still enjoy the outdoors My only complaint is for the last time I was there — an individual on the staff we were dealing with appeared to have friends there and should have been a bit more accomodating. We were patiently waiting for her to give us another tasting and I felt that although she knew we were waiting, she chose to finish her conversation/story first. I wouldn’t say this is a reflection on the winery as a whole though. I wish we hadn’t already tipped because I would have given less

Good wines and a great tasting room. They have a heated porch area to have wine and snacks. Live music and fresh oysters were served the day we visited. The Reserve Merlot was my pick of the winery.

Personal favorite for many reasons! The servers are always warm, personable, and knowledgeable. The wine is delicious, particularly the 2007 merlot. The staff are always willing to go out of their way to make you smile and help you enjoy your experience. Will continue to find my way back here while on the north fork!

Went to Clovis Point yesterday with some friends; such a lovely atmosphere. This place is perfection and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful views and great wine. I truly recommend Clovis Point to anyone looking to have a wonderful vineyard experience in a low key environment. The live music adds to the great atmosphere and it was truly relaxing. Definitely will be coming back for years to come!

We had a very nice time at Clovis Point this past Saturday. The weather held out for most of the day, so we could enjoy their grounds as well as their wines. It is such a beautiful setting, and the wine barrel tables outside on the lawn make for a great place to take in the views and enjoy their wine. They also offer a covered patio with ample seating that certainly helped extend our time there when the later afternoon rains came. The lawn also offers enough space if you want to bring lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on. They do serve food here, but didn’t seem to mind people bringing in there own. The tasting room is very spacious and boasts a bar on the right as you enter that runs the length of the room. They had about 4 – 5 servers behind the bar too, so service was very efficient. Whether you were there for a flight or just ordering to take to a table, the service was good. The servers also offered a brief bit of information about each wine you were tasting. At times it seemed like some might have just memorized some highlights, but in fairness we weren’t asking many in depth questions either. As I said, they do serve food. Tapenade, hummus, cheese & crackers, chocolate… those types of items. We did not sample any of the fare, just enjoyed the wine. They seemed to have a wide variety of whites and reds. The whites we tasted all seemed like wines geared for spring and summer. I think I preferred the reds… but that is almost always my preference. They have a fantastic 2007 Merlot that is not heavy at all. The Archeology was a delicious blended wine with very bold flavor. Ugh, listen to me. I am writing like I know something about wine. The wines were good. I should just leave it at that. I think the pricing was very reasonable for the flights. We didn’t pay much attention to their bottle prices as we were just sampling, not taking home. The prices per glass were decent especially considering the healthy pours.

We went during the christmas/newyear week season so it isn’t exactly busy so in theory they should be more attentive during the wine tasting. Our server was knowledgeable but the way they run the wine tasting made me want to leave. This review is entirely based on their service, and manner in which they run their wine tasting. My opinion of their wines has no impact on this rating, granted it did not help. The scenery was great even in the winter and they have a nice outside patio for talking and having a glass of wine. With that said, I think they need to look up and ask other wineries what the point of a wine tasting is — to sell wine. The better you run the tasting the more wine you may end up selling. So why in the world would to do this… — Have all the wines in one glass? Yes all the wines are served in the same glass. There was no switch between red and whites and there was no option to rise out the cup. A cup of water wouldve been nice to both have the option of rinsing out the glass or to cleanse the palette before the next wine. I know water dilutes out the wine, but after I tasted those wines, I wanted the water… — Why use the same glass for red and whites? The glasses drastically are different and make an impact on how we taste wine and smell wine. — serve wine that has been opened over a week ago. One of the wines was opened 9 days before we went. This one was a doozie and is the main reason for the review. We tasted the whites first. They were okay. I didn’t love them, but they weren’t bad. Then we moved onto the reds and everything went downhill. The color right off the bad was deep red but almost look like they left it out for a few days. Starting with the 2004 vintage of Merlot, there was a terribly strong overpowering smell of oak and maybe spice. The server said her favorite or the winery’s best was the 2007 vintage which to me had less of the overwhelming smell and taste were still present. I couldn’t grasp what it was, but I had never encountered something like that and it was overwhelming. I couldn’t taste much else. Seemed to me like the wine had been left out. Then I saw one of the bottles had been opened 9 days ago… They wrote the date on the bottle of which they opened cause it sure tasted and looked like it was opened 1week+ ago. Would you drink a wine yourself if it had been opened 9 days ago? They don’t exactly have state of the art dispensor(a simple plastic pourer) and hopefully they store their open bottles in fridge as opposed to at room temperature…

The location is really nice. We went in mid-April so it was a little chilly. They had a covered deck that was warm enough to have some lunch. They allow you to bring your own food which is a huge positive. They have a nice tasting bar along with a tv. It was nice to catch some of the Knicks game. They have a big backyard but it was too cold out there. Our group enjoyed the wine. We had a few bottles. The girls enjoyed the Rose. We’ll definitely be back in the summer.

We wanted to start our day with a vineyard that we never tried before. Pulling up to Clovis Point, you’ll notice the beautiful grounds, gravel road leading to the parking spaces. A small presentation of their grapes along the walkway to the barn-like structure. Inside, there is a long counter-top along the right for tasting. The tasting area is spacious, allowing about 15 people to taste at a time, and the wines are served in large glasses. For those looking to drink a bottle of their wine, there is an outdoor area with tables and a live musician who plays on weekends. There is even a nice grassy area to picnic on, if you’re looking to slow things down a bit to relax. But their wine is mediocre and nothing worth raving about. We didn’t particularly like any of their wines enough, to warrant buying a bottle. At first glance, the wines looked fine, but after a taste, it didn’t have the elusive appeal that a great wine has. A good wine should have fantastic aromas, complex yet balanced flavors that develop on your tongue and have your tastebuds jumping. Luckily, being in a decently populated wine area, there were plenty of other vineyards that were friendlier and livelier to our palate. Moving on…
