Well maintained clean state park. Hiking trails are plentiful and easy to navigate. Be sure to check out the ice mine, underwhelming but cool.

REALLY pretty place to hike near Raystown Lake. FAIRWARNING, though: all of the stone bridges on the trail that I took had been washed out(and it looked like it had been like that for awhile). Be prepared to wade or to hop from rock to rock in order to cross!

Great state park for some nice hikes. Kids loved the hike up to balanced rock, and so did My wife and I. The actual camp sites left a bit to be desired. Bathrooms did not have showers or sinks– no plumbing. Bring your own jugs of water because the water that came out of the pumps was brown. The camp sites(in the area that allowed pets) were somewhat close together but were spacious. I would not tent camp here again but would consider doing the hike again.

Great Pennsylvania state park offering loads to do for families. Trough Creek has some unique things such as the ice mine. The Ice mine is a small underground cave that keeps temperatures below freezing even in the mid of Summer. Trough Creek also offers the always exciting swinging bridge that leads you to beautiful Rainbow Falls. A small hike above rainbow falls is balanced rock a huge boulder dangling off the cliff side waiting to fall into the great trough creek below. Trough Creek also offers beautiful hiking trails through Rhododendron, and mountain laurel galore. The park also offers a small campground perfect for those who like to do it the old fashioned way in a tent. Overall Trough Creek is a beautiful state park with ample opportunities for fun!
