One star? That’s an exaggeration. Unless you’re a fan of the rugged«urban» travel and have no desire for«family-friendly» amenities, I would think twice about booking at this location again. The positive points for this Super 8 were that there were clean sheets and a usable bath. Unfortunately, those those had no chance to outweigh the negatives: Located on busy Jamaica Ave. there were lots of traffic/pedestrian noise(the hotel wasn’t in the least bit soundproofed), the in-hotel elevator made such a racket that it was unknown if it was going to fail at any moment, the front desk staff was inexcusably lazy and unconcerned about being remotely friendly(the front desk clerk was speaking on his mobile throughout the check-in process and a different front desk clerk barely gave an acknowledgment that a check-out receipt was requested, like it was beyond his comprehension why a traveler would need any sort of receipt), the«free» wifi was sporadic and largely unusable throughout the 3 night stay, the«hot free breakfast» consisted of one waffle iron and a microwave in the small upper level breakfast nook that wasn’t even replenished and the«business center» consisted of a single computer that was«pay-per-use»(even for hotel guests).

Had no idea where or what I was getting myself into when I booked the room through Priceline just wanted close to and easy access to and from JFK. Was a bit worried as we drove through Jamaica Queens but was very pleasantly surprised when I walked through the door and found warm clean welcoming atmosphere. Turns out I was 10 blocks from the express train into the city and the help were friendly and hard working. Shuttle was at the airport on the hour and left the hotel on the half hour. They made 4 trips for me with no questions asked. Clean comfortable rooms and great bathrooms. Best price and comfort I have had in a long time. Oh the free breakfast even includes fresh waffles made on the spot or have delivery in of any food you want. Great WiFi

Complimentary shuttle from JFK Federal Circle to motel. Bare minimum and in a shady neighborhood. Our door lock didn’t even work and the walls are super thin. There was some sort neighborhood party going on so music was blasting all night long. My earplugs saved my night. As for the positives: approx 15 – 20 mins away from JFK, good for a quick nap if you have a long layover, comfy big bed, big ass bathtub.

I was in a pinch. I needed a place to stay for one night before I had an interview in Queens. I flew in from Boston just for this quick interview and figured I would cheap it out at the Super 8 because I am a broke college student. The fun began as I caught the free hotel shuttle from JFK. The website says it runs on the hour but in reality you need to call them to hitch a ride. The driver was speedy and roared through the traffic on the highway during rush hour. The check in process was quick and easy I had found a deal through Expedia for only $ 90 a night for a king size room. When I opened the door to my room I almost peed myself laughing so hard. I could see through the shower and into the bedroom. The bathroom consisted of a door with a toilet and shower, but the shower had curtains on both sides of it(and it was a jacuzzi tub shower) The curtain on the opposite side of the bathroom opened to the bedroom. What the heck!!! If I was with someone they could see me doing all my private things in the bathroom. Really really weird. I couldn’t stop laughing at how awkward it was. The door fell off to the closet when I opened it and the air conditioner looked like it was about to fall off the wall. Traffic was also noisy but thats to be expected of New York. I think the only way I’d stay here again is if I was poor and only in need of a place to sleep.
