I sat down for breakfast. No one came to my table for 13 minutes(I timed it). It was usually slow for a Friday morning. After ordering, my waitress came by one more time to give me the check. Do yourself a favor and pass this place up. Very pricey for the service.

What a nice venue above Terminal 3. I started with their Peartini, which is an exquisite blend of Grey Goose La Poire, Champagne and Elderflower syrup. Next, I enjoyed their Potato Skins. They were the traditional loaded skins but somehow they had loads of flavor. What a pleasant surprise to find this gem at JFK airport!

Awful service. Never got a refill on our waters. The spinach artichoke dip was obviously microwaved and for way too long. The ciabatta on the caprese sandwich was dry and almost rock solid. The caesar was the only slightly redeeming aspect of the meal but it was par at best. Thank god I don’t have to frequent Terminal 3 at JFK all that often.

Probably the best place to eat in Terminal 3 if you are looking for a true«restaurant» experience” while awaiting your flight. Not as posh as some other recently redone terminals, so at airports you just gotta take what you can get! So with that said, this restaurant perched on Balcony Level overlooking the terminal below has a decent atmosphere. So I slipped in here while awaiting a flight to London and actually loved all the food I had: Roasted Butternut Squash Soup($ 7) and also ordered the Shrimp Skewers($ 14) as per my waitress’ suggestion! All accompanied by a glass of Sauvignon Blanc($ 16) to help me REALLY get ready for my flight if you know what I mean. So yeah, it all added up but again, airplane food pales in comparison. Would definitely recommend this place.

Service is slow. Prices are high. The steak on the steak flatbread should be flat, but it’s cubed. And rubbery. The chicken sliders didn’t have enough chicken on them. The waiter made us hurry up and pay so he could take his break.

What is it with this terminal. What a dump! This restaurant is the only option in this neck of the woods in this terminal. Once you get past the tarps hanging from the ceiling, the birds hopping and flying around and the 1 inch thick dust on light fixtures, etc. you’ll find this restaurant on the second level. It’s an OK place to eat. OK service. OK food. Overall it’s not the best but when you don’t have any other options what do you do.

Not expecting much from an airport place. Food was okay, but overpriced(surprise, surprise). Bartender was accommodating enough to plug in my iPhone. He came back a while later to let us know that the manager had sent him back to let me know that plugging in phones is not allowed. B.S. Nice, by the way, that she came over and spoke to me herself(not) instead of making the bartender do her dirty work. I also learned that if there were a power surge, the restaurant would apparently be held liable in the event that my device was damaged. Riiiiiiiight. Thanks for the top-notch customer service.

In a bad airport, this is bad airport food. Just get a beer and try not to expect being treated well.

Breakfast was ice cold, packaged eggs(no choice but scrambled was the clue) and the service was horrific. Not much more I can say other than go to Burger King across the hall, you’ll save $ 10 and have a hot meal. Maybe once the new Delta Terminal at JFK is built next year, the food choice will be better.

One(huge) beer + one(huge) order of hummus with warm pita and cucumber + tax + tip = $ 25 Considering how it’s an airport, you’re not expecting to find anything cheap. I had about two hours to kill and this definitely was the way to go. Since I was traveling alone, I sat at the bar. I would have liked it if the bartender were more interesting in chatting but c’est la airport vie. They could also use some hooks under the bartop for purses and bags, I didn’t like leaving mine to chill on the floor.

My girls and I were pretty ravenous pre-flight to Vegas. We knew we had a long flight ahead of us, followed by a date w. the pool, so decided to get eating out of the way here. The menu looked decent and prices actually not bad for an airport. Entrees clocked in at around $ 12/meal. First of, the service here is effffffffffffffing molasses slow. There was 1 waiter servicing about 10 tables. No bueno. We waited about 10 mins before getting a menu. We ordered the breakfast panini(the meat came on the side… weird) and a fruit & yogurt dish. The panini was mediocre, sausage was juicy, potatoes decent. The yogurt was actually really good and the fruits were fresh. It just took FOREVER for our meals to get to us and then to get the bill and then to get our change. We started off here with 1.5 hrs before our flight and were panicking to leave in time. Not okay.

So there I am, at JFK on New Years day. It’s after noon and I haven’t had food yet. I am not hung over, but I celebrated hard and slept too late for breakfast. I needed food, good food, before my flight. I ordered a Caesar Salad, Turkey & Jalapeño Panini, Coke, and water. Nothing super fancy, but all pretty good, or so I hoped. Sadly, it wasn’t. The salad looked awesome, but was very bland. The dressing was very close to good but missed the mark, and the greens were just this side of going bad. The panini was very pedestrian. The turkey looked like deli slices I can get at any grocery store, and there was no zip to it from the jalapeño. The bread for the sandwich was also lackluster. The soda and water were both good. That’s not a great result given that those aren’t made in the restaurant kitchen. To the positive, the staff was great. My first server moved me to another servers section when I sat down. She politely told me that she was overloaded and the other server was empty. I could stay in her section if I wanted, but that would likely cause my service to be less than either of us wanted. I took her advice and thanked her for being direct. My second server was friendly, accurate, and came back frequently to top off my drinks, etc. So, good service very bland food. Sadly that means I’d skip it.

So, I’m used to fast food in the airports I go through, thus this was a pleasant surprise to have a seat down meal before my flight. I was surprised by the prices, but I went with it and my food was a good snack. I had the chicken sliders and they had a good spicey kick to them with a side of home made potatoe chips. I found myself snacking on chips more because the sliders were spicey. The location is above terminal 1 through 4 and has a nice view of incoming/outgoing flights. I was able to relax without a hoard of people coming in and out. If in this airport again, I’ll get a snack again.

$ 12 for powdered scrambled eggs. I couldn’t choke down one single bite. Disgusting.

I was on my way to my gate and this restaurant caught my eye. The prices are pretty crazy, but I guess you cant expect anything less at an airport. I had a corona at the bar, while I waited for my order of loaded potato skins. I was blown away, by how amazing these skins were. Loaded with cheese, bacon, scallions, sour cream and laying on a bed of arugula, It was simply amazing. When at the airport, would definitely eat here again.

You know that overflowing cheese plate you make when you’re having a couple girlfriends over for wine and gossip? Yeah, this place has that on the appetizer menu. FORTWELVEDOLLARS! I ordered an Absolut mandarin and soda(single) and I think it was as much as my cheese plate. Pretty typical for the airport. But man oh man, the cheese plate is heaven. Enough for a pre-flight snack AND have some to wrap up and take on the plane for that 5+ hour flight back to Seattle. I find myself in a lot of bottom-feeder airport restaurants like Chili’s(ack) and Sam Adams’ Bar(f), since that’s as good as it comes in some airports, but thank the baby jeebus for this place when I fly through JFK.

Relative to other airport food this was good. The prices were high and the portions were small but I enjoyed the steak flat bread that I got.

Turkey, jalepeno, cheese, bacon and house made chips? This can’t be in an airport. OH $ 20, yah I’m in the airport. The service was impeccable and they got me to my gate on time, happily full. This is my only stop at JFK now.

It’ll do. The beers are huge and pretty reasonable at $ 9 – 10 given the 20 ounces and the fact that you are in a NY airport. The salad with chicken and mozzarella($ 16) was ok. Mostly spring mix salad with very light dressing and lemon. Nice view overlooking the terminal. You get to watch the mess and keep an eye on your flight while you self-medicate with alcohol for the impending unpleasant experience.

Had to eat somewhere in JFK… Steak panini was actually not bad, but the ambience was awful. Exposed in one of the terminals, dirty floors, alarms going off non-stop, heat rising to the level where the restaurant is, and birds in the terminal over your head. Its a shame it couldnt have been enclosed instead…

So, I guess it’s all about what you order and expectations. My partner and I ate here twice in about a week’s time(pre/post international connections), and would recommend to most travelers in this terminal. Is it the best food you’ll have on your trip? No. Is it the best food you’ll find in this terminal? No doubt. The prices reflect that you are in an airport and have limited choices. However, if you remind yourself that you’re in NYC the prices are about right. It’s much better than typical bar food and much, much better than most airport selections. Drink prices are reflective of a captive audience, stick with draft beer or a decent wine and you’ll be fine. Those ordering liquor will pay for it. The food is good. We ordered a veggie flatbread and caprese sandwich on both visits. Each time they were consistently good and would be recommended. On our first visit, we ordered the chess plate appetizer, which was fantastic. Large portions of 4 cheeses, excellent French baguette, and extra-large fresh grapes. Our order filled us up and provided enough food for a wonderful snack on the subsequent 10-hour flight. On our second visit we ordered the hummus appetizer, which was good but not as fulfilling as the cheese plate. The service leaves room for improvement, but is better than other options in the terminal. I wouldn’t recommend trying to eat here with a 25-minute layover, but the staff pay attention and were generally helpful. When it got busier, the bar backed-up and servers got behind. Not bad enough to harm our review, but this could be improved. Overall, there is absolutely no other place in this terminal we would recommend over Stone Rose.
