The food was absolute tasteless, the meat was bland and the chicken really dry. I’ve eaten here for many years but the last couple of times not a good experience with the food. The bakery is pretty good(that’s my reason for the 2 stars) even though the empanadas were really hard. I remember I used to get crazy here and get $ 40 worth of goodies every Sunday, but now I don’t think I’m coming back anytime soon. So sad to see this place decline like this, if you changed the cook or product quality please comeback to your golden time!

excellent bakery products but the restaurant dishes average nothing special and no handmade spice or aji they use standard… boring tasteless… red spice. tables should be more clean, service so/so…

Came here on a Sunday evening and there were tables available. This place is a bakery and a restaurant. The food was very tasty, especially the rice and beans. It’s really hard to find a place that makes good beans. The portions are HUGE! My husband and I could’ve shared an order. The service was just ok. The waitress forgot to bring us our salads but we were totally ok with that because the food was delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable for the amount of food you get! Punto Rojo you’re winning! Oh, of course I also purchased some goodies from the bakery before I left!

Delicious Hawaiian empanadas and also decent chicken empanadas. They’re big for the price, which I like. That said, the service here kinda sucks, they need to train the cashiers and the waitresses better. I would come back for the empanadas tho.

This place is a great Colombian restaurant with bakery. The lunch specials are big you could feed two people.

I was pleasantly surprise this little place has such good food and service. Don’t be fooled by the small store front. There’s table and TVs in the back area.

I just had lunch here during jury duty and I am going to have to bring back all of my friends! The Columbian Soup is quite special. And I am a sucker for rice with stew and sweet plantain. The staff is lovely. The place is clean and bustling. It’s the best thing that’s happened so far since I got my jury duty notice in the mail! The ice coffee is fantastic too…

My absolute favorite favorite spanish food restaurant in or near Jamaica Queens! I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed! I loooove this place! Highly recommend! Must try the«Metropolitan Dish»

Just got back from overseas and stopped here for a quick dinner. The service was okay. The sancocho de gallina was delicious. My friend who lives nearby says all their soups are always on point. That is actually true for me today. The area a little sketchy but the food is good. Watch out for the empanadas. They’re addicting!

I would avoid this place if there was another option near by but unfortunately there is not. Half the time I order food here they get the order wrong. Also, expect to wait a long time before anyone comes to you to take your order and expect to wait another 30 mins or so after you place your order for you food. The service is pretty terrible, but as long as this is the only place within 10 mins of driving from my place to get some Colombia food in Jamaica I have no other options to co continue to put up with bad service.

Great food, Great Service, Great price. Always Always Always Get the Bandeja Punto Rojo OR If you don’t want to eat all that food, get the mini bandeja. The rice and beans are so yummy, and the mango with milk smoothie is delicious. They have great pastries and bread. Don’t forget the empanadas!!!

I gave them 2 stars because their service sucks! The food is decent but they are some nasty people. They argue with you, and will not deliver until 12 pm now, when the menu states otherwise. They seem to think they are the only game in town, but they are wrong. They get on my last nerve. If you eat there service is a little better but they are till very rude.

Don’t have much to say except great food, good portions, decent prices and a good place to practice Spanish! Muy Bueno!

My review concerns the bakery portion of the restaurant. They are very stingy with the fillings inside of their traditional Colombian breads. The pan con queso(bread with cheese) will only have about a dime-size amount of cheese inside of a whole loaf. Similarly disappointing is their roscon(guava paste stuffed bread), which has a minuscule amount of guava paste inside of the loaf. Not acceptable. The reason people buy these types of breads is for the fillings, and the breads sold here CONTAINLITTLETONONE. Make the trip out to Jackson Heights if you want some quality Colombian baked goods.

Mostly mediocre. I was sadly forced to eat here 20 or 30 times because it’s where my former boss demanded we eat during Court lunches. The food isn’t bad per se, but it’s massive quantities of fairly mediocre stuff. I would much rather a smaller portion of something better rather than platefuls of average food that could feed three people. I always felt bad for leaving so much but I didn’t want the leftovers and couldn’t take it back to court anyway. Service was usually below par as well. The waitstaff don’t all speak English(at least in sufficient quantities to take an order) and so they seem to avoid speaking with or dealing with tables where the occupants don’t speak Spanish. It’s a bit of a nightmare having to wave your arms around like an idiot so someone will help you or get you some water. Tip: The cheese & ham bread from the bakery is pretty delicious.

Couple of years before this place use to be a BOMB! I mean it was really good. Recently these past 3 – 4 years it has really disappointed me. The service is horrible, and the food is just plain, and not cooked properly. NOBUENO!
