Great food… fast lunch time service and healthy choices. The Salmon Teriyaki is my go to meal. The staff members are polite and efficient. I hear The sushi is great too… will recommend to others

Small place but don’t be deceived. Their small but delicious menu can compete with much more known fine restaurants. Really good!

The portions have decreased significantly from a few months ago when I used to go there frequently. The sushi still tastes great and my daughter(who doesn’t like sushi), likes the teriyaki noodles and shrimp. It’s still a good place but the smaller portions are a bit of a turnoff for me. I will still go there when I am in the area but I won’t go out of my way to eat there.

Mediocre food at best… I mean how can you screw the pooch on teriyaki chicken? 3 visits and never any miso soup. I dunno, I have to really be jonesing to go here. This may as well be «chinese» food.

Paid $ 7.82 for 12 rolls of chicken teriyaki sushi. So good!!! Teriyaki chicken over rice is good too but the sauce is too sweet for me.

Surprisingly good Japanese fast food, which is not something I’d expect to see in Jamaica! For 6 bucks, you can get a generous helping of teriyaki chicken and rice(fried rice is a little extra I believe), along with some salad. Really not a bad deal at all, and very filling for lunch.

The food was good. I ordered the shrimp, chicken, and beef teriyaki with noodles which were $ 1 extra. I also ordered California rolls which were excellent. I can’t complain about any of the food. The meal was good. There are not many choices on theme u to choose from though. It’s not a place that I would go everyday because of the small menu. I would however recommend this place of you are In the area. It’s on a side block which makes it hidden. I just so happened to be riding down that block one day and wanted to try it so I came back another day. Great for lunch if you love or work in the area.

This is sad. No, not the place, but me. I’ve been working near PP Boy for God knows how long and I’ve never seen this place until now. Well, actually, until my sister pointed this place to me one day in which she helped us order the Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box and Cali roll to share for lunch. It was very good! Honestly, at that time, I wished she had ordered another bento box for herself because I wanted the whole box all to myself hehe. Shhhhhh! So ever since then, my husband and I have been ordering from PP Boy for lunch/dinner. My husband always orders the chicken teriyaki bento box for a good deal. The chicken is so tasty. I think it even tastes better than Saku Japan’s. So this place became one of our go-to places for lunch or dinner since it is nearby, not so close but not too far either. Definitely fulfilling and worth the price. Note: The menu is pretty limited and they don’t have much sushi roll varieties though.

Everything at this restaurant is absolutely delicious but they’re dumplings and either chicken or shrimp fried rice is the best literally. Definitely go here.

Quick Japanese joint ! The food is ok I just wish they gave more meat then rice and the salad was really good and fresh ! Will definitely be back when I’m in the area. It can be a little pricy depending on what you get.

Decent spot for the location and considering there’s nothing good around here. This is one of the handful of decent places to eat around here. Foods good. Especially their salads which they kind of upd the price on once they established a regular daily crowd. About $ 9 now. But the foods good.

First of all the food is OK but not very impressed The customer service apparently wrong!!! This place is run by Chinese so of course they communicate in Chinese There was a lady ordered garden salad but the receptionist ordered kani salad for her which is a dollar difference When the receptionist realize she took the wrong order the cook behind her just told her: switch to garden salad if she didn’t mention the price difference then just let her go in Chinese so that lady had no idea what they were talking about Whattttt man this is not how you do business Honest is the most important thing to run business I personally will never go to any restaurant like this even their food is super delicious Avoid this restaurant!!!

Solid though not fancy sushi and standard teriyaki quick food Japanese joint. Décor is simple but adequate. Not much in the way of drinks aside from standard soda, juice and water. Price point is fair though would appreciate if they had some lunch deals with sushi rolls. Sushi tastes fresh but only two varieties salmon and tuna. Salmon tastes fresher than tuna. I only get hand rolls and they make it fresh to order. Quantity in sushi rolls has been getting skimpy last few months. Fan of their simple non greasy simply flavored fried rices. Teriyaki underwhelming slathered in too much premade too sweet sauce. Salmon teriyaki best deal but not always premium fresh fish. Used to be a huge fan of their avocado salad which initially was loads super fresh high quality salad greens, avocado and tomatoe. Of late they have been skimping on avocados amount, salad freshness and putting in iceberg lettuce. They are always busy and speedy. Hope they improve their quantities, freshness and variety of sushi.

They don’t have a extensive choice of sushi roll and no sushi at all. They only have very simple menu with the basic rolls. Nothing exclusive about this place and the teriyaki price is higher than the one in food court.

This little gem is a bit hidden on a side street in Jamaica, off of Jamaica Avenue. Great option for a quick bite of chicken teriyaki with rice or noodles — very similar to Sarku or Sakkio mall food court options. Good portion of chicken, salad, rice and good sauce.

Had and sushi urge and didn’t want to spend more then 8 a roll. This place was good for that. Kani salad was awesome, spicy shrimp roll was kinda skimp but not bad. Pp boy roll was a 9 out of ten. The shrimp fried rice was blah. Cute atmosphere. They ha e earned my business. Oh yeah spicy mayo is one dollar!!!

After much debate about where I would dine for lunch I decided to be brave and try the advertised $ 5.69 Chicken Teriyaki Lunch Special. I am not a Teriyaki fan because of the high sugar content and sodium. I have been packing lunch for work lately and the local Jamaica Avenue businesses have not seen a buck from me. The raw deal: I walked into PPB and was greeted by a friendly cashier. I studied the menu and opted for the Chicken Teriyaki Special and California Roll for $ 3.39. I was surprised to be handed such a large Styrofoam container packed to capacity with Iceberg lettuce(which has 0% nutritional value). I was given Soy sauce and a mayo based salad dressing for what was supposed to be «salad»(1 cucumber, 5 shavings of carrot…) The chicken was tasty but crispy like Pork. Quality of the meat is why it’s $ 5.95. I was not impressed here. I also had a mountain of rice left in my platter. It reminded me of a Chinese-American restaurant menu. Rice, rice and more rice. They need more veggies on the menu. On to the Sushi: The Cali Roll was good. Just like any other I have had. Basic Wasabi and ginger. What I am interested in trying is the other creative rolls on the menu. Next trip will be just for the sushi. Priced at under $ 5, you can’t go wrong. I will also try the brown rice. Aesthetics: For the neighborhood, the design of this restaurant is very creative. Red and black paint, Japanese samurai murals. A nice place to spend your lunch hour. The bathrooms are spic and span. The only concern here is the B rating they received from the DOH… suspect. Price and Value: You get what you pay for. The platters are mostly rice and Iceberg lettuce. If youre in the neighborhood and dont want typical carbohydates from Wendy’s or Taco Bell, Go for the brown rice $ 4 sushi rolls.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, and don’t judge a restaurant by its name. Not one to take my own advice, I judged this place massively based on the name… despite being an «adult», the first three syllables of the name amount to something that’s pretty damn funny(if you’re into potty humor… which you should be, because everyone is). That being said, the fact that this place even exists is quite a surprise(and no, not because of the name)… reason for this being the location. Jamaica, while having a unique cultural identity in its own right, is pretty devoid of cuisine in the Japanese(let alone Asian) variety. Despite my shameless love for Popeyes and McDonalds(both located just a stone’s throw from Queens Supreme Court on Sutphin Boulevard), on this particular day I was of the mindset that I didn’t want the smell of deep fried grease to adhere to my suit & tie… I did have to work the court later that day after all. After coming to this conclusion, it was determined that the teriyaki was the way to go. For the extremely reasonable value of $ 8.95, I opted for the the PP(hehe) Boy combo plate, which consisted of teriyaki steak, shrimp, and chicken over rice with a side salad. Teriyaki proteins were plentiful(more chicken than steak, and more steak than shrimp… of course), and the actual teriyaki is a surprisingly delightful blend of sweet and salty. Well done PP Boy! Definitely gonna keep this place in the back pocket, it’s a very affordable and viable option, and a bit healthier than the fried stuff in the area.

I used to pass this place all of the time until my curiosity killed me and I went in. I have no complaints about this place and I thoroughly enjoy their food. They give you a decent amount of food and it’s good. I never feel bloated after I eat here. It tends to get packed because people come here on their lunch break for a bite to eat. I had Chicken Teriyaki with Fried Rice. It comes with a salad & dressing. I like that the fried rice doesn’t contain any vegetables. They also serve an array of salads, side orders and sushi. It’s a nice change from the usual fast food spots on the Avenue.
