The Bengali Tea is the bomb and it wakes you all the way up. The cookies are good too. They have 2 in Jamaica Queens I like the tea at both.

Come here for the tea– nothing else! The cakes are tasteless, the pastries have been sitting in the display for days, and there is no sitting area– just a wall to lean on as locals sip their tea and gossip.

OMG this place is the only chain tht sells chaat and falooda; both are excellent; the chaat is soo much better than the ones I have had in the Jackson Heights restaurants n the falooda is great, really authentic; the owner is this a cute pudgy woman with a big booming voice who can be a little scary initially but is actually really sweet n friendly; she makes all the ‘extra’ from scratch n makes it all taste delicious

Excellent tea, good shortbread cookies and cream rolls and other snacks exactly how it’s done back home. The tea is definitely the highlight though.

While there are quite a few other Kabir Bakeries in the city, this is the only one that is any good. When I lived around here, I always would stop in for some south asian nicely spiced Ice cream(kulfi). I loved the Cardmom flavored kulfi, but they also have pistacio, mango, and saffron. My friends loved their bread and baklava.
